When the series was first released, Madden NFL 21 Coins was (probably) essentially the most popular announcer in sports. He made wild and funny comments and would become extremely animated when broadcasting. EZMUT was recognizable. The inclusion of Madden within the series drew attention to it more than the quite a few competitors and, for players, made the game seem a lot more realistic.
