OWH World Card Making Day Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Art Impressions!

Happy World Card Making Day!

We're excited you're hopping along with Operation Write Home! We LOVE the OWH team and we have such a fun time partnering with them! To head back to the beginning, go to the OWH Stars and Stamps blog.

One of our cards today will feature an Art Impressions OWH benefit set. We have two benefit sets with 25% of proceeds going to OWH. If you haven't gotten your hands on them yet, you can find them at the links below! We also have a free stamp with any $30, check yesterday's post for details.

Today, I've (Kate - DT Coordinator) created a card to share with you! I normally leave all the beautiful designing to my DT, but I had the chance so you're stuck with me today!

I have a huge disclaimer though. This amazing image was colored by none other than Sandy Allnock herself! She colored almost 50 of these beautiful images for our Make and Give at the Summer CHA trade show and I was lucky enough to head home with a couple of them!

The sketch used for this card is a slightly modified #29. The image and sentiment are from the Ai Every Hat Set. For the sentiment, I masked the "I love you" section and then stamped twice to get the text in a line. I created a cut file for the "Thanks" to have it fit the blog hop theme.

Here's a better image of the "Thanks." And as a THANKS to all of you hopping with OWH, we're giving this cut file to you for free! You can email kate@artimpressions to have the SVG file sent to you (on Monday) or you can outline the PNG below on your Silhouette Studio software so you can create this card too!

Supplies Used

We also have a card from our DT member, Piali Biswas!

Piali used Sketch #90 with the Ai Out to Lunch Set. Thanks Piali!

Now for the

GIVEAWAY!

We will be giving away THREE prize packs!
Each will have our two Operation Write Home benefit sets!
But we really want to hear from you so ...

Leave a comment of what your favorite cut files
(or die cuts if you don't have an electric die cutting machine)
or what your dream cuts would be!

They can be ...

Just write your thoughts below and enter to win! Thanks for coming by!

Happy World Cardmaking day!

The cards you have posted are fantastic - love a bit of AI cheer!

Silhouette files would be my choice, but dies suitable for a cuttlebug would be firmly in second place.

Thanks for the freebie too. Very generous!

So so cute! And what fun to see one of those images on a card. Have to admit I still have the rest of that stack that need the coloring done on them - lol! Thanks for hopping with us!

Love the Thanks card. I really love boxed sentiments on Silhouette. I'm currently trying to creat one of my own but my freehand cursive leaves a great deal to be desired....

Call me old fashion, but I'm very hands on and still prefer the die cuts. But I adore the Thanks cut on your amazing card.

I just love this lady in the hats and it works so beautifully with the cut file and the sentiment along side. Thanks so much for sharing it today and for your support of OWH.

What great cards! The coloring on the "hat lady" is amazing! I just got a silhouette machine (literally about 2 weeks ago) and I have yet to really figure it out, but I would love a cut of some realistic cats doing cat things (napping, eating, eating, napping) - that is my dream cut for sure!

I have a Cricut that I love but it is not the best for the 'frilly" types of cuts so for that I love the die cuts, they cut so much cleaner! Love my Big Shot and use it with several different die cutters and it works great!
Love these cards and these stamp sets! Thanks for supporting OWH and our Heros!

What an adorable card....the Art Impression images are always so cute! I really wish I had a machine to cut SVG cuts...but alas, I don't. I love the text cuts best though since they have the most versatility!

Steph Ackerman said...

LOve the cards - AI images are always amazing. I love my Cricut and Cuttlebug and use both continuously - love adding dimension with assorted die cuts.

Sherry Butcher said...

Love the Every Hat Set. I use a Cricut so any PDF or something like that would be wounderful. Thanks for supporting OWH.

I love your stamps!! Our craft group will buy and then share your images. Just recently colored the Halloween witch, so cute. I have the original cricut so anything that would cut on that would be awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Andrea T said...

These images make me smile. I use a cuttlebug and cricut. I like dies that make it easy to do matting and cuts that match stamps.

I love the image. 50 would be a LOT of coloring! I have a cuttlebug and a cricut machine with a gyspy so I can save my designs. I have to cut out a bunch of ribbons for the 5th graders to sell for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Big Shot/Grand Calibur--dies: where do I begin...MFT, Spellbinders, MemoryBox, Sizzix love them all! The more intricate the better-I use my Cricut when I need multiples of something-love it all!

Great cards. I would like sentiment die cuts.

Great cards! Thanks for supporting OWH! I have a KNK Zing which uses MTC and can take just about any file to cut. I haven't had much time to learn the machine well enough, but I do love it compared to the old bug and the CS is way better. Right now I'm addicted to all things feathers and as always, birds and owls. But anything naturey is a-ok with me! TFS and Happy WCMD!

I love your hats stamp set, it made me laugh! I have my eye on the Big Shot and love borrowing my friend's machine so I can use some of their flower die cuts.

Love the hat stamp set. I love using dies with matching stamp sets and also love using my electric cutting machine.

LOVE these cards. Great coloring by Sandy on the fabulous Every Hat image. Beautiful, bright colors for a cheery contrast. Love the chalkboard effect for the Out to lunch set and the pastel detail on the layer cake. I hope you had a wonderful WCMD. Hugs and happy crafting! -Kim

Both these cards are great...I love the all the hats image it is one of my favorites

I would love image die cuts because I'm horrible at fussy cutting.

Thank you for sharing and supporting OWH.

Oh these cards are too cute!! Sandy did an amazing job of coloring on the top card and I love the design of the second one!!

I have to say that I sadly don't own a silhouette, but would love to!! If I had a fave die cut, it would have to be my labels die set...love the shapes.

Thanks for your generous offers and give aways on this WCMD OWH blog hop!! I've enjoyed your inspiration! HUGS

Yahoo! I love all my AI stamps and was so happy when you partnered with OWH. Two of my favorites, together! I don't have an electronic die cutter, just my trusty Cuttlebug. But I love word dies and dies that match complicated stamps. Thank you so much for your support of OWH!! Oh yes, doesn't Sandy's coloring rock?! Really like how you created your card, supper Thanks, almost enough to make me want a cutter. Thanks for the chance at the OWH sets, I don't own 'em, yet.

Sandy may have done the fabulous coloring but you showcased them beautifully on your cards.

As for cutting. I have a Sizzix machine and have a lot invested there.

Ann said...

Beautiful card! Though Sandy colored te image, you sure used it to make an awesome card! I love the bright cheery colors! Unfortunately, I have no cutting machine, other than mywell used Cuttlebug and many dies fom several companies! I use it a lot!

Great cards - the Many Hats and girl friends stamps are favorites.
I do not have an electronic machine, but Nesties style die cuts - especially rectangular labels and any doily die would be at the top of my list.

BobbisTreasure said...

I would love to see cut files for interactive cards!

KellyRae said...

Both cards are awesome but I LOVE the hats card and especially the thanks cut sentiment - thanks for the freebie! I'd like to see more dies of various papers that would fit a typewriter stamped image and die - straight edge, notebook edge, swirly diploma edge - all good.

Love AI and LOVE that you are supportive of OWH. They do amazing work to keep our soldiers connected! I am ashamed to say I have an old Silhouette that's never been plugged in. I'm too intimidated by it! I tend to stick with my Cuttlebug and use Spellbinders dies primarily.

Barbara said...

I've been a huge fan of AI as far back as I can remember - was that 16 years ago? Love love the fun images. I'm still cutting shapes only on my Cricut Expressions.

Camille Short said...

Great card! and Thanks for the Thanks file.

As far as wishes...I would love a .svg file of a quail!

Donna Nuce said...

Love the cards you made. As for SVG files -- well I am still learning to use my silouette. I have a tendency to jump to my cricut so I don't have to hook up my laptop to the silouett.

You know I love my Silhouette and would love to have image cut out files!!!

Love the cut out thanks on the first card but don't know how or what PNG file trace is for my Silhouette. I have the old original model. Love all the hats this lady wears!
