With a Friend by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I really enjoy using all of the Windows to the World (WTTW) collection, but sometimes I don't want to use them with a window feature. Today, I made my WTTW image into a flip card.  It was really simple to do and I think it will be really fun for the receiver of this card. I did two different cards.  They're almost the same.  I just used different papers on them.  You'll notice that in the pictures.

I started by stamping the With a Friend Window 4583 onto Canson XL watercolor paper with Jet Black Archival Ink. I colored the image using a #4 water brush and Marvy LePlume II markers. I used Pine Green 72, Olive Green 15, Brown 6, Violet 8, Brownish Grey 40, and Iris Purple 55. I scribbled my colors onto the Watercolor palette and picked them up with my brush in layers.

I used my Silhouette Cameo and a cut file to cut out the flip card as well as all of the layers.  The decorative paper is a retired paper from Basic Grey called Kioshi.  I edged all of the layers with a mini blending tool and and Black Soot Distress Oxide ink pad before attaching them flat to the card.  The watercolor layer is attached to the card with Tombow Power Tabs.  They are slightly raised.

On the back, I added a place to write a message.  I added a sentiment from the WC Sentiments Set 4903.  I added some paper flowers to the bottom corner of the greeting layer. Lastly I added a white bow with a button in the center of it and that completed my flip card.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

This is adorable and such a great idea. Do you know the size of the cardstock base you mounted the image and patterned papers to? I have some flip-it dies but are not sure if they would be large enough for the WTTW. Thank you!

Thank you! The card base is 7 1/4" x 5 1/2". The center portion is 4 1/4' x 3". It's the center portion that you want to be concerned with. I had to cut really close the my image to get it to fit onto the flip portion.
