Fisherman Ed.

Wow ladies I can't believe it is Tuesday again.  Well this morning I have chosen Ed Y1903 for my image.  I think he is having a rough time bringing in that fish, he has more line around him than the fish!  Well as you know spring is coming and along with spring comes fishing..yes..men love fishing, I can't imagine why, they put  a slippery dirty worm on the hook, then take of a slippery, slimy fish!  YUK!  Ed is from the Front and Back series, you will find so many great images there, you must check them all out.

Ed
I have used copics to color my image
Commercial thread for the fishing line.
A photograph for the background.

Mouthfuls!

Have you checked out the Mouthfuls yet? There is quite a few of them and they are really fun. There are all kinds of things they can carry in their mouths. This one is called Mouthfuls Rabbit. The rabbit comes with the hat, coffe mug, a basket, three little bunnies to go in the basket, a purse, phone and about 5 greetings. So it could be used for many things.
I have stamped my image and colored it with copic markers. Added some glossy accents to the mug and some glitter glue to the flower on the hat for some sparkle. The flowers are made with a little sizzix die and I added some sparkles in the center of them also.
If any of you went to the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Convention this last weekend, did you check out the Art Impressions booth. It was very Impressive!!!
Have a great week!

This is one of my favorite Easter-stamp, you can find it here and text "Happy Easter" here.
Hmm.. I think there is not so happy atmosphere in the card, but maybe this Birdie doesn´t worry about it, because Easter is coming.. :)

Warmest Easter Wishes

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to Wednesday!!!  Have you been out getting the Easter candy?? Or maybe getting an Easter outfit?? I love all the soft pastels that are out at this time of the year.

I just got some new stamps from Art Impressions and since they are Easter themed, I will be showing these off in my next few Wednesday posts. Hope the cards inspire you and give you some great ideas.

This card is using a new set called Kate - set 4118. And this bunny is sooooo cute. the set even comes with a little pinafore as well.I stamped the rabbit on white cs and colored the rabbit with Copics. Next I stamped the little jacket on a small piece of designer paper and I stamped the dress on another designer paper. I trimmed the dress, jacket and the rabbit out and layered them all together. It was like playing with paper dolls. I remember how fun that was. Next, I added the matching bow in her hair, or should I say fur. Then I added the glitz. The background is an embossing folder and colored with distress inks. Lastly I added a pastel yellow bow, punched a few corners and added the sentiment and the card is done.

Supplies used:
Kate set - 4118
Copic markers - E57, E71, R81
Cardstock/Paper - White CS, peachy pink cs, designer papers (3 different ones)
Embossing Folder - Sizzix
Spellbinders Die - Labels Sixteen  S4-301
Punch for corners
Inks - Versafine black, Distress inks scattered straw, victorian velvet
Ribbon

Stop back tomorrow for next week's challenge. See you then.

Tea Time!

Hello!
I am Tracy and today is my first posting here at Art Impressions. I was very honored when Kate asked me to join the design team. I love their stamps. If you want to check out more of my work you can find me here.

For my project this week I used Tea Time and Easter Wishes. I made this into a little Easter basket. But I think this stamp would be fun for lots of other things then Easter. Maybe birthday, best friends or even a party.
I have colored the image with copic markers and glittered it a bit. Then I cut it out with an oval spellbinders die. I layered it onto some Best Creations paper that I cut with another spellbinders die. (Gotta love those dies right?) I made the basket/box and used a martha stewart punch for the handle, upper border and the grass at the bottom. Added some butterflies, and the greeting which I used a stamping up punch and spellbinders scallop circle.
I hope you have a great day!
Happy Stamping!

Drat!!

How funny is this Drat saying from Art Impressions??
It also didn't take me long to decide which stamp I wanted to pair it with.
I think the look on Sylvia's face says it all!
I colored her with Copic markers and used Spellbinders nestability dies
to cut and matte her.  I punched a border with a Martha Stewart
edger punch and then used the flowers near the top of the card.
There are self adhesive pearls in the center of them.
Inside it says Happy Birthday Anyways!
