Utility Set His Utility Set Hers

Sharon is here today to give a fabulous tutorial with the Her's set. Take it away, Sharon!

Hello AI Fans!!
I'm super excited to show the brand new AI Utility Dies!! These are SO COOL!! And there are TWO sets - a His and a Hers!!  They're SO easy to die cut and put together! All you do is attach them with a brad, and they are just like the real thing! The fun part is coming up with ways to give them! So on to my project!!
I chose to make a paper purse to use as a gift bag. If you want to make something similar, the first thing you want to do is find one you want to make. There are sooooo many adorable patterns out there!! Just check out Pinterest!!  Need some help???  Just click HERE to go look at some patterns. Choosing one to use was the most difficult part of this project! LOL!! I actually cut this one with the Silhouette and a cut file. But you do not have to have a cutting machine to make one. You just need to find a pattern and cut it out with your scissors. The purse flap is held closed by a Velcro dot so it can be used over and over again as a gift bag!

Next I simply opened up my package containing both the dies and the coordinating stamps.  I left all my dies hooked together so I didn't have to worry about keeping up with them!  But then I detached the main body of the Utility Die so I could cut just it from my colored cardstock I wanted to use.

There is a circle die that confused me for a bit on what it was supposed to be. You can use it to layer under your brad on top of the main body of your Utility Knife. I chose not to use this piece on my finished product.  I took my Distress ink and tool and distressed around the edges of the pieces to give them a little definition, and then stamped the pieces.

After putting it all together, I poked a hole in the end and added a couple chain links to attach it to the purse so it would hang down the side.

And a look at the pieces...

On the inside of the purse, I added some bottles of nail polish with some tissue paper. Now how fun would this be to give to your girlfriends??!!! I seriously can't wait to see the fantastic projects you come up with for our new challenge to use a brad!  Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and hope to see you back again very soon! Stay crafty!!

Thanks, Sharon! What a cute purse! And the Utility Die Set Hers is the perfect companion!

Hello Ai friends and happy Thursday!

Today I am sharing a card using one of the NEW Ai sets exclusive to Michael's!  Have you spotted them in your local store yet?  If not, they should be popping up there soon.  They are awesome!  This set is called Get Well (SCO681).

I just love this guy with his back side sticking out!  And the sentiments in the set are perfect!  I cut 1/4" off the right side of the card front so the patterned paper on the inside would show a bit when the card is closed.

The inside is simple but coordinates with the front.

I can always count on Ai for awesome images and funny sentiments!

Have a great day and… happy stamping!

Enjoy the Ride

Hi AI fans!!

Dana here and today i have a card featuring the new Clear Stamps available (or will be soon) at your local Michael's, it's called Got Style SC0678. It has a group of styling ladies and this cut lady on a skate board, i mean how fun is that???

I started by finding a pattern paper pad by Basic Grey, Shine On... I die cut a stitched rectangle from a colorful strip pattern. From the same paper pad, i picked out different patterns for her bags and coat.

Then i used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color her skin and dress, i went a little funky with purple and white flowers!! LOL! Next i fussy cut around just the top of her, leaving the bottom half still in the paper.

I stamped the sentiment Happy Birthday Enjoy the Ride below her bags. Then i added the stripe panel to a white card base and added my stamped image with foam tape. Last i added a few different colored enamel dots to my card. I have so many enamel dots, rhinestones and pearls that i always have some that match the pattern papers i end up use!! Hello, my name is Dana and buy and hoard embellishments!! LOL  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Happy Stamping!

It seems my hoarding also applies to pattern paper, as the collection i have is no longer available at scrapbooking stores! :) Supplies used: Basic Grey - Shine On..., My Minds Eye Enamel Dots - Cut & Paste Noted, Lost & Found Christmas, Mistletoe Magic.

Day Spent & New Window Deco Die

Hello Ai fans!
I am sharing a card using a Windows to the World stamp called Day Spent Window (Sku #4584) paired up with the brand new Window Deco Die (Sku #4749):
The Window Deco Die set actually comes with four dies, and two stamps, and I am just using the curtain and valance stamps on my card today.  I stamped them both on some patterned paper, and used some pencil crayons to add a bit of shading to the folds of the fabric.  I used the Window Die (Sku #4619) to die cut the window panes so that you can peek through to the stamp on the inside of the card.
The sentiment is a favourite of mine, from the Garden TF Set (Sku #4203).  Here is what the inside looks like:
Copics used - B28, B24, B23, B21, G46, G43, G41, YG07, YG05, YG03, YG01, R35, R32, R30, E57, E55, E53, W5, W3, W1, W00
