You're Spec-tacular by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

For my card I used the Uptown Girls along with the Spec-tacular saying.  I just love the movement of this image.  I agree that they are pretty spectacular! No pun intended!

I colored these ladies up with my Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I used a 51/2" square card base.  The front flap is folded on the diagonal.  I pulled the flap forward and covered it with paper from the Echo Park 6x6 Summer Dreams collection.  I added some shimmer to the paper and images with a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen as well as a Clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen.  I couldn't seem to capture any of the sparkle in my photo's.  The card is edged with a Pilot medium tip Silver marker.  The women are attached to the card with foam squares to make them stand out even more.

Watercolor Beach Babes by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Fans!

I had so much fun trying out watercoloring these fun gals!  I've wondered how the Marvy LePlume II markers would work on Bristol Smooth paper.  Well, I can say it works fabulously!

The most important thing when using these markers on the Bristol Smooth paper is to scribble the marker onto a pallete, don't use too much water, and be careful to not "overwork" the area which would cause the paper to start pilling.  It was really very easy to use the markers this way!

For the skin tones, I was worried about what marker to use as I didn't have one that looked like a true flesh color.  So I experimented with #30-Rosewood by adding various colors to it.  I ended up blending #30 with a touch of #45-Sepia, and/or #6-Brown and watered it down quite a bit.  I had some #20-Magenta still on my pallete and actually added just a touch of that for a different tone.   I finished things up by adding some dots, stripes, and a few highlights with a white gel pen.

These girlfriends are so fun; and hey, we are all friends!!  Happy Monday crafty friends!

I used these Marvy LePlume II markers:
No. 2 Red, No. 5 Yellow, No. 6 Brown, No. 8 Violet, No. 11 Lt. Green, No. 13 Ochre, No. 15 Olive Green, No. 20 Magenta, No. 29 Prussian Blue, No. 30 Rosewood, No. 40 Brownish Grey, No. 43 Brilliant Yellow, No. 45 Sepia, No. 100 Sapphire, No. 101 Tropical

Floral Birdhouse Wedding card by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a very special wedding card.
One of our good friends oldest son is getting married in September.
I know, I'm a little early but when inspiration strikes...you make the card.

I've used two different Art Impressions sets on my card.

I decided to make a step card but with a little twist.  Each step is a little smaller than the one before it.

You'll notice some gold paper on my card. My kids graduated high school in June '17 and June '18.  I had used various spray paints to make some decorations.

I decided to give something a try.  I took some plain white paper and sprayed it first with the gold spray paint and then with the Gold Glitter Blast.  I LOVED how it turned out!  Bonus...it's so cheap to make.  No more paying $2.00 for a sheet of metallic paper!

I took a hat pin and added some beads to it.

It's tough to see all of the layers of the card in the photos so I laid the card out flat so you could see it all.

I think this is the most extensive card I've ever made.  I actually made two of them and together they took me about 12 hours to complete.

Here's the "envelope" that I made for it.  Due to the bulk of the card I decided to do a gift "bag" envelope.  The card is 1 1/2" thick when closed. It's going to have to go on the gift table and not in the card box! lol!

Birthday fun by Sharon Caudle

Hello AI Fans!

Anyone else here that loves to have fun and act like a nut?  Surely I can't be the only ones raising my hand, right?? :)  I think this guy is amazing and would be so much fun to hang with!! He's my kinda person!  This is 4728 Lifetime Set from Art Impressions. To go along with his fun personality, I made a pinwheel with my Silhouette. I just attached it to a straw and it actually spins on the card.

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!!

It's the Mileage by Cheri Burry!

Hi Ai Fans!
The other day I saw some kids biking like this and remembered I had this stamp called "Bikers" from Art Impressions! Now this pair are definitely not "kids" but I think they are young at heart don't you?!
The "Bikers" stamps is on the larger side so it fit perfectly on an A2 sized card! A few enamel dots were all I needed to finish off my card!
I used the Ai sentiment called "It's the Mileage" which I thought was perfect for this fun loving pair!

I Love You Slow Much By Crystal Schneider

Hello AI Fans!

Today I made a card using the Sloth-Some Set 5002. As of right now this is my favorite Art Impressions stamp set the sloths are so cute.

I stamped the sloth on to Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth cardstock with black Memento ink. I made a mask out of post-it paper for the sloth. I covered the sloth with the mask I just made. I inked the background with 3 different purple inks to get an ombre look. I was wanting to add more so I ended up using blue to make a circle around the sloth.

I added some hearts over the large heart the sloth is hugging. After I added the hearts I didn't like the way they looked so I added strings to them to make them look like balloons.

I added a few sequins to the top and bottom corners.

I matted the sloth image off centered on to some pattern paper. Adhered my card panel to a side folding card base.
