You Clever Cat | Cubbie card | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

I hope you guys have been enjoying these fun cubbies for the challenge #257 Furry Friends. Today I wanted to share this fun card I made using the Art Impressions Cozy Cat Cubbie. I still had the rainbow background I made for the Hero Arts 45th Anniversary blog hop and I thought it would look cute with this playful stamp set.

I stamped all my images out on some kraft cardstock. I selectively stamped a few of the cat beds, I did that by inking the area around the bed on the cat cubbie. I'm going to fussy cut those images, so the rest of the lines wont be seen.

This time, instead of using Copic markers, I used watercolor pencils. This is a inexpensive set I found at my local craft store. I've never used them on kraft cardstock and was pleasantly surprised by how well they colored. These pencils are not name and only numbered, so I wont be listing those today. The kraft cardstock I'm using is just regular cardstock from Neenah. So, it does not take to a lot of water well, but these watercolor pencils react and blend really easily. For all the white areas I used a white Prismacolor pencil.

I used a piece of black cardstock and stamped most of the sentiments and the yarn ball, all over half of the panel. Then I used clear embossing powder and melted that with a heat gun. I took the full panel that was die cut with the Hero Arts circle confetti die and adhered a piece of white craft foam behind it.

If you would like to see how the rainbow background was made check out this blog post on the Art Impressions blog.
Or click here and head on over to my you tube video showing the process.

Once it was dry I sliced the panel at a diagonal and adhered one half to my black cardstock. Last step I adhered the kitty cubbie and extra bed, then attached the little cozy kitties to areas on the cubbie.

Alright guys that's it from me! Thank you so much for joining me today!

Hope Your Day is PAND-tastic! By Crystal

Hi Ai fans!

I loved playing with the Panda-tastic set so much last week I'm back with another card using the same set.
I think this set of three panda bears are so cute on their own that they make making a card really fast.

I stamped the three pandas in the center of a Double stitched rectangle then I masked them off with a full stick post-it note. I used a polka dot stencil and Tim Holtz Distress ink for the background. I blended some of the colors to get more then four different color polka dots on my background.

I used a polka dot embossing folder to add a little bit of dimension to the cardstock that I matted my panda bears on. I adhered my whole panel to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" card base.

Spectrum Noir Markers:
Blender, CC1, IG9, IG6, IG4 , PP1, DR3

Wag Your Tail by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

I hope this Wednesday finds you well.  I am stopping by today to share with you a fun card I made using the new Dog House Cubbie Critters.

I wanted to keep it simple but yet draw you to it.

I couldn't decide which of the dogs I wanted to use so I made two cards.  I knew I wanted to use pink, especially with the Chihuahua and the Pomeranian.

First up the Pomeranian.  Isn't she just the cutest?  I really like the dog images Ai used in this stamp set.  They did an awesome job in my opinion.  I know I will be using this set a lot.

Here is a close up of these cuties colored.  I also added some Nuvo drop in Carnation Pink to add some character to the card.

Onto the little Chihuahua ...

I did the exact thing to this card as I did with the Pomeranian dogs.  I stamped them in a row across my card.  I colored them with Copics.

I ended up changing the Nuvo Drops I used and used the Nuvo Jewel Drops in Strawberry Coulis.  It is translucent.  I love how they look on paper.

Here is a look at both of them together.  Aren't they cute?? You could use them for almost any occasion.  "Have a wag your tail good time" is just one of the four sentiments in this set.  It really is versatile.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Don't worry you WILL be seeing more of this set.  I just love it!

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers -

2019 Class Exclusive Watercolor Set with Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I consider myself very lucky to live in the Orlando Florida area.  We have so many  attractions and beaches within minutes of our house.  This last weekend I was extra lucky because the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo was in town and I took the Art Impressions watercolor class with Kate Swanson as well as spent a day working at their booth!  If you ever have the chance to take this class you get the Exclusive stamp set.  You can't purchase it or find it outside of the class. This year's Exclusive is a Flower Cart that you can fill it up with whatever you want.
I started by coloring the bottom of the flower cart with 969 Chocolate and 565 Deep Blue Tombow Dual Brush Markers and stamping it off onto a piece of scrap paper before I stamped it onto my piece of watercolor paper.  I then pulled the color from the lines with my brush.  I used post it tape to mask off the cart before using the same process to stamp the four pots from the stamp set.  I used my stamp positioner to get them exactly where I wanted them. I pulled the color from sides of the pots being sure to keep the centers empty to show the shape. Then I used the flowers and foliage from the WC Mini Flower Set and the WC Foliage Set 4 to add to the pots.  I used 249 Hunter Green, 177 Dark Jade, 636 Imperial Purple, 725 Rhodamine Red and 526 True Blue markers to do this. Once I finished stamping my images and pulling out the colors with water, I added the top of the flower cart using the stamp positioner to help determine where to place it.  I stamped the top with just 969 Chocolate and used damp brush on the lines.  I added some 493 Reflex Blue marker to my palette and watered it down to paint on a sky.  I also painted on some ground with the two greens from my palette.  I used the tiny grass from the WC Foliage Set 1 below the cart along with some other grasses to ground the cart.  Then I drew in the wheel spokes and the posts that held up the top of the cart with a pencil.  The last thing I did was add some stripes onto the cart topper with 493 Reflex Blue.
We made four cards in the Watercolor class.  This is one of my favorite projects.  I just love this truck because you can fill it with just about anything.
Kate and I posed for a picture at the end of the show.  It was really nice to meet some of you there!

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

Reeling in the Big One! by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Friends!!

I've used the fun Reel Great Guys set for my masculine birthday card today.  If you change the sentiment, this would make a great Father's Day card too!

This card really came together pretty quick.  I used my MISTI to stamp all the images and sentiment  onto Neenah paper with Amalgam ink.  As you can see I only stamped a portion of the boat image that has the men in it.  I colored everything with my Copic markers, listed below.

I used another sentiment and image from the set for the inside of the card.  It's stamped with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope this has given you inspiration for using this fun set.  Have a wonderful crafty week!

Roomba Zoom Zoom! by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I decided to take two of the new Work and Play sets and turn them into a slider card.  As soon as I saw the cat on the "Roomba" I knew I wanted him
to fly across the floor to torment the dog!

5110 – Housework Set
5111 – Loads of Fun Set

This is the card when it's closed.
I used the 4764 – Slider Die.

Here it is open so you can see the verse behind the slider.
Then, as you close it back up...he zooms over to the dog.

I used another image and verse on the inside.
How true is this?  If you're reading this post then you're a card maker.  Who wouldn't rather craft than clean!
