Have a Wheelie Special Birthday!

Hello AI Fans!!

Today I'm showing a card that is featuring the brand new Mini Shaker #4794 Wheelie Mini Shaker! Isn't he just the cutest??!!  He looks just like I would if I got on a skateboard! LOL! Actually I take that back. I don't think I'd be able to stay upright on it long enough for you to capture an image like this of me! :)  So I stamped him on Cryogen white paper and then cut out the wobble portion of him with the included die after coloring him up with Copic markers. Don't forget about the mini wobbles!  That's the only ones I use now!!

Copics used:
E000, E00, E11, R20
YG11, YG13, YG17
YR04, YR07, YR09
T1, T2, Blender
Y32, Y35, Y38
B00, B02, B04
E33, E35

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and hope you have time this weekend to get crafty!!

Diane is here to show us a fantastic tutorial using one of these super fun sets! Take it away, Diane!

Hello Ai friends!  I am sharing today how I made this Partial Die-Cut Z-Fold Card with the new Wheelie Mini Shaker (4794) stamp set.

The upper body and left leg on this guy are die cut and layered on a Mini Action Wobble. I know if I were on that skateboard, I would be super wobbly! Lol. The word "zoom" and the stars are dies which are also included in the set!
Here you can see the part of the image that wobbles...

With careful placement of the die, he hangs out over the fold.

To create my Partial Die-Cut Z-Fold Card, I started with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of cardstock and scored it at the 4 1/4" mark.  Then I used a pencil to mark the top and bottom of the card front (to the left of the fold) at 2 1/8".

Next I positioned the die for his body so the left side of it, including his leg, was to the left of my pencil marks. It is held in place with low-tack tape.  Then I placed the top plate so the edge of the plate was in line with my pencil marks. (By doing so, the die will only cut the area underneath the top plate.  Now run it through the machine.

The die cut area will be cut as shown below. I then scored at the 2 1/8" mark, above and below the cut.

Mountain and Valley fold your card and the base will look like this.

Add layers, your image with the Action Wobble, and embellish as desired.

Now it’s your turn to make a card and join us in the “Shake A Little” Challenge!
Happy stamping!

Thanks, Diane! This card is just perfect for that special guy's birthday!

Reindeer Mini Shaker by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
I can't get enough of these cute Mini Shakers!!  These are so quick and easy to create, that they are great when you want to create multiples (I made six of these this weekend!).  Here is Reindeer Mini Shaker Set (Sku #4800):
I kept my card design pretty simple, since I was making a bunch and wanted them done in an afternoon.  I used the amazing Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Sheets along with the Therm O Web Deco Foil Foam Adhesive to make his nose really shine!  Then I put it onto a Mini Action Wobble to give him a little movement.

I also used the iCraft Supertape with the transfer sheets to create my shimmery stripes, here's how:
Supertape is a strong, clear, double-sided adhesive, so I pulled out enough to lay across my paper, and trimmed it to the right length with my craft knife.  I also cut a piece of the red Deco Foil slightly larger than my strip of tape:
I pulled off the red backing, placed the Deco Foil over the tape (shiny side up!) and burnished it with my finger:
Here's the end result when I pulled the Deco foil strip off - the red foil transferred completely onto the Supertape.  You won't believe how EASY this is, and the results are just amazing!
Here's another shot where you can see the red foil nose & stripes a little better:
Happy stamping!

Chris-mouse Mini Shaker by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
I am having a great time making cards with the new Mini Action Wobbles!  And of course the new Ai Mini Shakers are all designed especially for them... here is a quick card using Chris-mouse Mini Shaker (Sku #4796):
This week, the Ai Design Team are all using Therm O Web products on our creations, so on today's card, I've used the Deco Foil Foam Adhesive along with Gold Deco Foil Transfer Sheets to give the glimmer to my mouse's jingle bell.
I also used the foam to die cut snowflakes - and they turned out SO amazing!  These are the Ai Snowflake Dies (Sku #4804), and they are quite small and detailed.  I started by running my Snowflake Dies and the Foam Adhesive through my Cuttlebug:
The foam is sticky on both sides, so I peeled the backing off one side of each snowflake, and laid them down onto the matte silver side (the back side!) of the gold foil, and pressed down:
I flipped the foil over, and gently burnished the foil onto the snowflakes with my finger.  Then I pulled off the foil and here are the results:
They're like little metallic foam stickers!  All I did was peel off the backing and place them onto my completed card.  What a great way to add foil touches to your projects!

Our current challenge on the Ai blog is Prep For Christmas!  We'd love you to share your holiday creations with us - there are always fabulous prizes to be won.  And don't forget to enter the great giveaway, below! Happy stamping!
