Cool Kat by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai Fans!

I am here today to share a card with you from the fun set - 5046 - Meerkat . I just love these little guys. Isn't he just the cutest? Go check out the full set at Art Impressions.

I decided to something a little different for this card.  It is your typical A2 sized card but with a little bit of a change .

Notice anything?  The card front is smaller.  I actually cut 2 inches off the  bottom to give it a little depth since I wasn't using any foam tape or any embellishments.

It left enough of the card covered so I could l could still add a sentiment to the inside of the card. I firmly believe the inside of a card is just as important as the outside.

I really like how it looks. I will definitely be doing this in the future again.  Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting today.

Copics used:

B14, B16
E55, E57, E77
R35, R37
Y13, Y15, Y17, Y19

Until next time …

Little Whoot's by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

Do you ever find yourself wanting to make a bigger card with a small image?  That's what happened to me with my Little Whoot image. I wanted a few owls on my card front and didn't have one of the larger Whoot images, so I used what I had to stretch my stamps.  As you can see, I was in a colorful mood.

I stamped the image three times onto Spectrum Noir paper with My Favorite Things Extreme Black Ink and colored it with Copic markers.  The colors are listed below.  I stamped an extra owl and colored him in teal like the middle owl and fussy cut it leaving a small border of white paper.  It is attached over the middle owl with a mini action wobble.

The main layer on the card base is white card stock that was embossed with a We R Memory Keepers embossing folder. I used the Echo Park Happy Birthday Girl 6x6 paper pad on to cut five banners. Everything was edged with Pink Peony Archival Ink. I didn't add a sentiment to the outside of this card.  I figure that I'll add one to the inside when I need to use it.

Copic Colors Used :
Purple - BV02, BV04, BV08
Teal - BG10, BG32, BG13, BG15
Pink - R21, R22, R24
Yellow - Y02, Y17
Grey - Coo, C1, C3

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

It's No Easy Making Waves by Dana Warren

Hello AI fans!!

We are in the tail end of summer so I have to share my summer themed cards before fall gets here!! Today's card features the Sally Swimmer Set and since I had the set out I made two so I could practice my skin coloring!

After stamping the images on white card stock I stamped them again on different pattern papers (x2). I paper pieced the floaty, bathingsuit and cap, before adhering the different pieces I used my Spectrum Noir Markers and Copic markers to color these fun ladies!!

I used the following Spectrum Noir markers DR2, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG8, FS3, FS9, TN3. I keep trying with my SN markers but can never get it to look right. So when I remember (which isn't as often as I like!) I use a few Copic skin tone markers, for this lady I used E25, E57, E59.

After coloring and adding the piecing I fussy cut out both ladies. I kept a bit of white around each image. Next, I cut the wave pattern paper with a stitched rectangle and added them each to a white card base.

Then I cut two white stripes and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I added it to the card with foam tape, along with the images. Last I added a few matching dots.

I hope this inspires you to get out those summer stamps that you haven't used yet and get them inked up!! Summer is almost over!!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!

Sitting...Laughing... by Dana Warren

Hello AI stampers!!

Dana here with a card that features a new clear stamps set from Hobby Lobby!! It's called Live, Love, Laugh and it is a nice big set with a couple images and lots of sentiments!! You are definitely going to want to add this set to your collection!!

I started my card off by die cutting a notched banner from white card stock. Then i stamped the three sitting ladies with Memento black ink. Next i colored them up with Copic markers.

Next i decided to use a stencil for my background, first i cut a stitched rectangle from white card stock. Then i placed the stencil over the card stock and used washi tape to hold it in place. I decided to use my Copic markers to color the stencil, just one more way to use your Copics!!

I picked out the same colors i used to color the ladies and planed my pattern. Then i colored one row, then lifted the stencil up to peek under to make sure i liked what i saw. The Copics bleed a little, plus the nub can get under the stencil a little, but i like the imperfect look of it so i completed coloring the rest of the stencil.

Then i matted the panel on some black card stock and then adhered it to a white card base. I added the notched banner with foam tape to the card. Then i stamped the sentiment below the banner and last added a black button to the banner.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!!
