Dancing Easter Tots by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
I adore everything about Easter colours - they're so fresh & pretty, and after a long winter like this one, they're a welcome change.  I am using the sweet Dancing Easter Tots (Sku #T4019) today:
I blended six different distress inks onto my card base, then sprayed it with some Tattered Angels shimmer mist that gives a wonderful shimmer to the background, as well as some lovely texture from the moisture of the mist.  I ran a line of stitching 1/4" in from the edge with my sewing machine to frame the image.  After colouring with Copic markers, I fussy cut around the image, and used pop dots to adhere it to the base for a little dimension.  I had these wonderful pastel sequins that perfectly matched my inks so I sprinkled a few of those on as well.
The sentiment is from Celebrate Spring MTF (Sku #4849).  Here is a shot to show how much the background glimmers:
There are all kinds of sweet Easter stamps in the Ai store, you can find them all here.  Happy stamping!
Copics used: C3, C1, BV02, BV00, E11, E00, E000, E51, E51, E34, E31, R20, R81, BG11, B35, E57, E55, E53, YG01.

Keep Me Warm by Dana Warren

Hello AI fans!!

Dana here with a card featuring one of the new Clear Christmas Stamps, Merriest Christmas! I did some monochromatic coloring and used some gorgeous gold washi tape for the background.
The washi tape so gorgeous, it looks like a rich gold tapestry! I added four strips of the washi tape, leaving space between each one, allowing the black card base to show through. Next, I stamped the snowman couple on some water color card stock.

To color the image I went with a monochromatic look and used the Vintage Photo Distress  Marker. I didn't color it with typical strokes, instead patting the paint brush on the image. Squiggle the marker on a palette, add a little water to lighten the color. As I colored the image I used less and less water to get darker tones.

When my coloring was done I used sharp scissors to fussy cut the image out. For the vellum piece behind the image, I found it in my leftovers stash. I stamped the sentiment on the vellum and then adhered it to the card. Then I added the image with foam tape and last adhered a few black enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Happy Stamping!!

Show Me The Love

Hello AI Fans!!

Dana, here with a card featuring AI's Show the Love Set. I made two cards with the set, I was in the mood to color and it's always nice to have a few Love cards on hand!

I started by stamping the image (isn't she a little sassy!) and coloring her with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used DR3, DR5, DR6, FS2, FS3, IG2, IG4, IG6. Then I just fussy cut both images.

The backgrounds were super easy! I made one card base horizontal and the other vertical. On a big clear block, I smoosh just a little bit of Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks and then spritzed it with some water. I pressed each card base in the ink until I was happy with the splotches.

While those were drying I pulled out a sheet thin wood with adhesive backing. Not sure where I picked it up at, it's been in my stash for awhile! I used the Love die from Lawn Fawn and die cutting two from the wood.

Then I masked off the Love from the Show Me The Love sentiment and just stamped the 'Show Me The' directly on the card. Below that I added the wood Love. Last I added the colored image with foam tape. The layout for both cards are pretty much the same!

Love by Dana Warren

Hello AI fans!!

Dana, here with a cute card that is all about the love!! My card today uses the newer clear stamp set In The Air! Even though the set has Valentine sentiments, you can use the images with any love theme sentiments you might have or in my case with a sentiment die!

I started with some water color card stock and trimmed it to fit a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base. Then I used Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to make my water color background. When these colors where dry I used a little bit of black soot and water to flick some black dots on the background.

When the everything was dry I cut the panel with a Lawn Fawn Love Sentiment Die. Then I cut the same die from black card stock. Next i added the water color panel to a white card base and then inlaid the black Love into the negative space left from the first cut.

Next I stamped adorable little skunks, who are making a heart with there tails (awww), and used my Spectrum Noir markers to color them. Then I fussy cut them out and added them to my card base with foam tape.

I thought the card need just a little something more, so first I rounded the corners and I found some heart stickers which I added to the card with foam tape.

Now you can stamp the inside with any kind of greeting that you need, like anniversary, just because or special birthday!

Spectrum Noir Markers: DR1, DR5, DR6, FS1, FS2, FS3, IG1, IG4, IG6

Watercolour Valentines

Hello Ai fans!
Have you seen the newest Ai release of several Valentine sets??  One of them is a clear acetate set featuring the cutest little skunks, several sentiments and some additional accent images.  I am featuring a couple of cards with the cute skunk couple from In The Air Set (Sku #4753):

I made a watercolour background using three different distress inks, on some Ranger watercolour paper.  The paper has both a textured side, and a smooth side, so I tried one of each, and don't really have a preference?  They were both easy to work with.  I kept things simple and mounted them onto a plain white card base, added some Baker's twine and popped up the fussy cut image over the sentiment.
Copics used: C7, C5, C3, C1, C00, BV04, BV02, BV01, BV00, R20
