Hello Ai Fans!

I'm excited that I get to kick off the new challenge " We ❤️ Dads!"!! I feel so lucky to have had such amazing Dad figures in my life. My dad was the best one ever and I miss him terribly!! He loved to fish, so I definitely thought of him while I was creating this card. It's a fun one that rocks back and forth with the waves of the water!! I used 5926 Fishing Boat Set which is a part of the Rides line at Art Impressions. The die cuts a slit in the boat so you can load it with whatever you want! Isn't that so much fun??!! I also used #5927 Father's Day Die Set to top it off.

I started by inking a sky background onto a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" paper. I used some wave dies from my stash and cut three layers at varying heights so I could layer them. Some distress ink helped give the waves more definition and stand out from each layer beneath it. I glued the first wave layer to the inked panel.

I stamped, colored, and die cut all the pieces I wanted to use with the boat, and then I cut an additional two boats out of just white cardstock. The two white boats are what I will attach to the background with a brad so the boat with rock with the waves. I cut two cause I wanted the strength of the doubled up paper. The colored layer will then be glued on top of those and voila! A rocking boat without having to see the brad that allows it.

I just used my paper piercer and a brad I had in my stash. I used a larger headed brad so it would stand up to more movement and not tear through the hole easily.

In order to accommodate the movement of the boat, I doubled up on the mounting tape that I put on the next wave panel. This will allow the boat to move freely without catching. Be careful to not put it where it will hinder the rocking of the boat.

I finished it up by adding all the awesome pieces to the boat, a few clouds, and the fun Super Dad sentiment! Here are a few pictures that shows the boat rocking back and forth.

A close up of the boat...

And here we go! Make sure to take your sea sickness meds!! LOL!

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by and I sure hope you create something for the challenge! Who doesn't love winning free stamps!!

Nailed It! Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a new masculine card created with the fun 5406 - Mr. Set.  This stamp set includes several hats and accessory items to customize your card or project, but this handyman outfit is so cute for a birthday card or Father's Day card.

For the card, I stamped the main image, hammer, tool belt, and hat before using the included dies to cut the images out. To create the cap, I stamped the hat with antlers and just cut the antlers off. My husband loves to wear hats and this guy totally reminds me of him when he is about to tackle a home project.

The greeting "Nailed It!" was also included in the set and I embossed it directly on to the wooden floor. The white color pops against the dark brown. I love embossing white lettering on projects.

Lastly, I created a background with brick pattern paper and used markers for the floor. I also attached layers of black paper, brown paper, and bright green paper to coordinate with the colors used on the man's outfit. I think this card turned out great and look forward to making more cards with the 5406 - Mr. Set.

Hope you enjoyed today's card and are having a wonderful day!

**NEW RELEASE** Tool Man's Treat Box by Janet Axtman

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I have the great pleasure to show off a new release stamp and die set called 5503-Tool Bag & Die Set! This is a super fun interactive set that allows you to stamp color and cut out the bag and its tools. The die also cuts slots in the bag so you can insert some or all of the tools. If you don't want them in the bag, the slits cannot be detected so you're good either way!

This bag includes all the must have items any handyman or handywoman would need. It even includes a level! Each tool is a full image so there are so many possibilities for this set. I chose to put this on a gift box for a lucky Dad. The stamps can be used on tags as shown here or they could be used to make an awesome background either as stamped images or heat embossed. This bag goes really well with many of the Ai People Character sets too.

If you're on the hunt to make a fun masculine card, I really recommend you pick this set up. There's nothing else like it and the options for it are endless!

Thanks for joining me today to take a look at the new Tool Bag & Die Set.

Have yourself a crafty weekend!

šŸ’šNEW RELEASEšŸ’š-Tool Me Up! by Mercy Sauer

Good Morning Ai friends

I thank you for joining me another week, and a great week it is!

More new Ai Spring 2022 Releases!

Today I’m including TWO cards, they are perfect for dads, uncles, friends or for the handy women in your life. I’m one of those handy women, I love tools!

Here is my first card, how proud is this guy to have a perfect set of matching tools? I colored the handles in yellow inspired by the Dewalt tool line.

On a side note, I have a dream, to have perfectly matching pristine tools in a beautiful canvas and leather tool bag...but I digress!

Back to my card.

The inspiration for this card came from a short video I saw on line. A set of guy friends gifted a young new dad to be the ultimate dad outfit!

knee length denim shorts, a white polo, and mid-calf white socks.

When I saw this stamp, I knew I had to use it with the tool set.

The card front panel was a happy accident! It was originally a card base I scored at 5 inches instead of 5.5 inches. So, I trimmed it and continued scoring every half inch.

It resembles shiplap and it’s a perfect match with the wood floors.

Both elements relate to woodworking, and I think it’s perfect!

By the way, another thing I really like about this set, the bag has the perfect cut outs to easily insert the tools.

Here’s the other card I created.

The theme for this slimline shaped card is Dewalt yellow handles!!
Wood background and masculine colors. I also created three shaker windows using the stamp elements as embellishments for the shakers.
First time doing this and I loved it!
I didn’t include a sentiment because really, it could be for a birthday, retirement, just because, Father's Day, Mother's Day etc.

In both cards I popped up the elements at different heights, in person it makes for great dimension.

Overall the Tool Bag and Die Set gets A+ for versatility, quality, originality and cuteness!

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week and I will talk to you next Thursday
