Succulent Terrarium by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

Today I am stopping by to share a card using the Succulents stamp set from Art Impressions. This card is clean and simple that is for sure.  But it sure makes an impact.

I started by coloring my Succulents with my Copic markers and using the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I used my Hexagon Double Stitched Dies from Ai to cut out my make shift terrarium.  I have not cut apart my hexagons yet.  I love that I can cut multiple frames in the hexagon shape. I only used the biggest three sizes for my frame.

I added my Succulents last and arranged one flat with glue, the big one in the middle I used glue on the bottom half and raised the top half with foam tape.  For the last smaller one in front; I popped him up with foam tape.

I finished it with a few light green confetti sequins.  And a small stamp in the bottom corner of the inside of the card.  I love the offset of the sentiment in the corner. It really was a card that came together quickly.

I love how it looks like you are looking down into a terrarium. Wouldn't you agree ... a perfect birds eye view??

Tulips and a Tired Little Easter Bunny

Hello Ai fans!

I am so excited to be here and sharing with you my very first card for the Ai design team.  I have a beautiful Easter card to share with you from the set 5004 - Sweet Easter

I thought this image was so soft and pretty that I wanted to keep the colors softer. I wanted to frame the flowers and bunny, being he is the focal point.  I thought the oval in the 4700 - Scallop Easel Die would work perfect.  I also wanted to give some dimension to the card so if you look close you can see I glued the bottom pot down and the half way up I added foam tape.  For the flowers though I doubled up the foam tape to really make them pop. It is really hard to see in the picture but I added some Wink of Stella to the tulips and the little fuzzy bunny to make them shine. As you get to know me you will find out … I LOVE Wink of Stella.

I left the inside blank so you could write a nice note to the person receiving it.
This sentiment also comes with the stamp set 5004 - Sweet Easter.

Thank you so much for welcoming me and checking out my first post for the Ai design team.  I look forward to making crafty friends with all of you!

Hello Watercolor Friends, I made this Valentine's day card for the Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend roundup. I used the basket from the 4871 - WC Rustic Container Set. I used two of the containers from the 4870 - WC Ornate Container Set. I penciled in the heart and then covered it with the tiny leaves from the 4867 - WC Foliage Set 2. I used the ivy and another foliage from that set as well. Two of the flowers were from 4052 - WC Flower Set 1. The grass and leaves are from the 4051 - WC Foliage Set 1. Lastly, I used the flower from the 4701 - Clay Pot set.

My project for today’s Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend is a sparkly floral “LOVE” card.

Start by cutting out the word LOVE (I substituted a heart for the letter o) with dies, an electronic cutter or stencil using Stamping Mask Paper. Adhere the word LOVE onto a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of watercolor paper. Stamp the leaves from the WC Foliage Set 2 in 15 Olive Green around the masked word LOVE. Fill in the area with the heart shaped flower cluster from WC Flower Set 2 in 9 Pink and the dot flower cluster from Garden Wagon Mini Set in 100 Sapphire. Finish stamping with the long leafy foliage from Garden Wagon Mini Set in 15 Olive Green around the edges for a soft wispy look. Pull the color from the lines using your brush and water. Add dot detail with 9 Pink and 100 Sapphirearound the foliage. Remove the Stamping Mask Paper and for that extra sparkle, add Star Dust Stickles to the word LOVE.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I love doing this inlay technique that I saw done originally by Jennifer McGuire and I am absolutely obsessed. I made this clean and simple Be Mine Valentine card for Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend. I have been doing a LOT of winter cards (cuz it's my favorite season...yes, because of the snow LOL) so I figured I would do a flowery one for Valentines Day next week. This one is really simple to do.

Card Details:

I started off by using a piece of Canson XL Watercolor paper cut to 4 x 5 1/4. I used Altenew bold alphabet dies to cut out the "Be Mine" from 2 pieces of watercolor paper. I began by creating my flowers with Brilliant Yellow, Grape, Vermillion and Pink. I added water to the blooms. I used Olive Green and the vine to create the foliage. I added water to the foliage.
I used Artist Tape behind the words to remove them and keep all the pieces together. I added some stick it adhesive to the back. I kept the insides of the b and e and replaced them when I added the white letters that I cut earlier. I stamped "Valentine" with Versafine black ink on a piece of Gina K Designs Innocent Pink cardstock and popped it up between the Be and Mine.

I used a piece of Gina K Designs Lemon Drop cardstock for the mat cut to 5 3/8 x 4 1/8. I adhered the entire piece to a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a crafty day!

I'm quite sure you are going to fall in love with all of the new Art Impressions watercolor stamps! I used stamps from these new sets 4966 - WC Bird Bath Set, 4964 - WC Branches Set, 4967 - WC Fence Dies and 4963 - WC Fall Set.

I used the leaves and grass stamps from 4051 - WC Foliage Set 1 on my card and I used white embossing powder to emboss the sentiment from the 4903 - WC Sentiments Set.

I used glaze on the water in the bird bath. I hope you will play along with the new Art Impressions "Flowers and Foliage" challenge. Maybe you will win some stamps set off of your wish list like I did before I became a Watercolor Guest Designer!

For this Flower and Foliage Challenge I wanted to embrace the soon-to-be fall season. The new bird bath was a perfect focal point for my scene.

I started by taping off a 2 ½ x 3 rectangle on my watercolor paper. I used blue painters tape, but washi tape would work too. I stamped the bird bath from the new Bird Bath Set in 45 Sepia and pulled the color from the lines with my paintbrush and water. Next I stamped branches from the new Branches Set in 45 Sepia. I then added the small foliage stem from the Foliage Set 2. For the fall leaves, I used three colors; 15 Olive Green, 13 Ochre and 88 Terra Cotta. I used my stamp positioner to place one of the birds from the new Bird Bath Set onto the bird bath. I stamped two of the floral stems from the new Fall Set, one in 13 Ochre with 15 Olive Green and the other in 86 African Violet with 15 Olive Green around the bird bath. I placed the vine from Foliage Set 1 in 15 Olive Green in between the flowers. I added the large grass from the Foliage Set 1in 15 Olive Green. Note, I removed the tape from the bottom, lower left and lower right corners when I pulled the water from the grass to give it a free-form look. I put 60 Salvia Blue onto my palette and brushed it in for the water in the bird bath. And then brushed the same 60 Salvia Blue into the sky. I swiped a little 28 English Red onto my palette and brushed it onto the chest of my bird and into the bird bath for a reflection. And finally, a bit of 45 Sepia onto my palette to add just a little dot onto each end of the red in the bird bath for the reflection and also to the bird bath to darken it up.

I am so excited to participate in the new Art Impressions challenge -Flowers and Foliage.

I began by cutting a mask with the Fences Die Set. I placed it on the right side of my watercolor paper. I inked the Bird Bath with African Violet. I added Blue and African Violet to the water. I used my stamp positioner to place the birds onto the bird bath. I inked them with Sepia and added Orange and Blue from my palette.
I used the left and right flowers from the Garden Wagon Mini Set with Olive Green and Magenta around the fence along with the small grass from the Foliage set. Once this was completely dry, I peeled off the mask and added some African Violet to the fence as shadows to give it some dimension. I added some Wink of Stella to the birds, bird house and water.

I inked up a branch from the new Branches set with Sepia twice and stamped it in the left hand corner. I used my stamp positioner to stamp the bird house in Sepia. I added English Red to roof using my palette. I also added Sepia to create the wood look on the bird house and some African Violet to add some shadows.
Next, I added a fir with Olive Green around the branches. I added some Blue to the background for a bit of sky.

I love all the new sets and can’t wait to see what you create with your watercolor stamps. Won’t you join the Challenge today?

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Thank You Tu Tu You!!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a dance themed card.  This was made for the office manager at my daughter's dance studio.  Each year I make all the cards that the moms put the end of year gifts into.  Miss Sue received this one and if you knew her you'd know how appropriate this is.  It just suits her personality.

I've used just one of the funny ladies from the image Dancers Set of 4 (Sku#3580).
I just used some tape to mask off the other dancer near this one when I inked it up and then removed the tape before I stamped her.
