Happy 60th Birthday! Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Art Impressions Friends!

Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the current Milestone Birthday Challenge. I love making birthday cards, but there is something extra special about celebrating a milestone birthday. For my project I used the SC0680-Spare Me Stamp Set to create a masculine 60th Birthday card; I love this bowling theme!

I started by stamping the bowler with black hybrid ink and colored him with Copic Markers. To frame the image, I cute an oval and used yellow Distress Oxide ink around the edges to bring in more color and a golden glow.

For the number 60, I used the 5911-Large Number Die Set and cut the numbers out twice to raise it up a bit. I used regular card stock for the bottom layer and added the gold glitter paper to the top. I thought the gold coordinated well with the other colors used and added a nice pop of sparkle.

The sentiment was also included in this stamp set and is the perfect size to add under the bowler. I also added layers of card stock and gold glitter to give a more finished look.

Lastly, I attached layers of teal, white, and dark teal card stock and a piece of checker pattern paper. These colors give the card a retro look, and I love the teal, black and white color combination!

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you will join in the challenge!

Skeleton Wiggle Wobble (he glows!) by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am CASE-ing Renee with a card using the Ai 4952- Skeleton Wiggle Wobble set. (She shared her card last week) The sentiment on the front of my card is from the Michael's exclusive SC0680- Spare Me clear set.

Renee had the brilliant idea to create a spider web window on her card and I loved it so much that I wanted to re-create it on a card for my friend who has an October birthday and LOVES Halloween.  After seeing Renee's card, I couldn't even think of making mine any other way! lol.  It's perfect!

I changed mine up a bit by making a different shaped window and adding a punched creepy fence to the front. I used the same cute mice punch but brought that to the front as well.

On the inside, the wobbly skeleton was assembled with mini brads and he is made EXTRA wobbly by adhering him to the card with a Mini Action Wobble.  I opted to skip his hat & bow tie this time.

Since I used a black card base and a dark patterned paper inside, it is difficult to sign the card.  My solution was to use the leftover pieces I die cut from the front window to adhere on the back for my message and signature.

Now, I didn't give him a hat & bow tie for a reason....he GLOWS IN THE DARK!!!  So I didn't want to cover up part of his head.  After I assembled all his parts with the mini brads, I used an old bottle of Glow-in-the-Dark fabric paint I had in my stash (for many moons!)  Mine was a pale yellow color which I didn't see while searching but I did find the same brand with a Natural color which I've linked below.  I'm guessing the natural color would be better anyway!  Oh, and I didn't forget the eyes in the little bat & spider die cuts....they glow too!

Here's a quick little video to see the action!

I want to thank Renee for letting me CASE her card! I enjoyed making this for my friend. Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Bowler Babes by Dana Warren

Hi AI fans!!!

Today I'm sharing a card featuring the Spare Me Clear Stamp Set available at Michael's. I did a little paper piecing with some pattern paper from Basic Grey.

First I cut some white card with a stitched rectangle die. Then I stamped the three lady bowlers on the panel and a couple times on different pattern papers. I fussy cut out there shirt and and pants. There was solid colors in the pad, that I used for the bowling balls.

Next I used my Spectrum Noir to color the ladies skin and hair. I used CT2, FS2, FS3, GB8, GB10, IG2. I stamped the Bowler Babes sentiment and also added a little grey marker (IB2) for the ground.

I trimmed another pattern paper smaller then the white card card base and adhered it. Over it I added the stamped panel with foam tape. I also have the matching embellishments to the pattern pad and picked out a few to add to the two corners of the panel.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!

Strike Up Some Fun!!

Hello AI fans!!!

Dana here with a card for that guy bowler in your life!! I think this card would be a great birthday card or even a just because card, just stamp the right occasion on the inside along with your personal message!! I used one of the new clear sets available at Michael's, Spare Me SC0680.

I started by die cutting a panel of pattern paper and I added it to a white card base. Then from the same paper pad I picked out another pattern and cut it with a note page die. I also cut some white card stock with the same die.

Then I stamped the guy bowler on the note page and on some scrap white paper. I also stamped him on some other pattern papers, fussy cutting out his shirt and pants. The patterns, I thought at least, were perfect for a bowling outfit!!!

On the scrap piece I colored his skin and the bowing ball with my Spectrum Noir markers, then added the fussy cut shirt and pants. Next I fussy cut him out, then added him over the stamped note page image with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment at the top right of the note page and then added both pages to my card base with foam tape. I also found a tiny little paper clip and added it to my pages.

Spectrum Noir Markers;
Skin - FS2, FS3
Bowling Ball: BT2, BT4

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Happy Stamping!!
