Dreaming Santa by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card I made using the 4792 Dreaming Mini Shaker stamp set from Art Impressions.  I love the classic look of this Santa.
I started by Copic coloring my Santa image from the Dreaming Mini Shaker set. I labeled all of the Copic colors below; the color along with what image was colored. It can be hard when I use a lot form the same color family to figure out what I colored where.
I decided I wanted a dream bubble so I drew it freehand with a pencil first.  I used my electric eraser to redo a couple of my clouds ... I will never be perfect as I am NO artist.
 -LOL-
I was finally ok with my final bubble so I used my line marker to draw over my pencil line.  As you can see I didn't follow it exactly so I used my electric eraser to remove any pencil mark left over.
I felt like it was a little plain so I added a little Wink of Stella to my Santa beard and to his Santa hat fur. I finished it off with a few red Nuvo Drops.
Here is the finished card one more time.  I love how it represent the classic Christmas look.  I am a sucker for Christmas and good ol' Christmas charm.

Thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time with me.  Please come back again soon soon and see what myself and the rest of the team have been up to.

Santa Rocking by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card I made using the 4792 Dreaming Mini Shaker stamp set from Art Impressions.  I love this Santa so much. As a matter of fact I will be sharing another card next week using this same set.  Can you tell I love him??
I started by Copic coloring my Santa image from the Dreaming Mini Shaker set. I cut him out using the coordinating die that comes with the stamp set. I added Wink of Stella to his beard and the fur on hat after I had taken the picture.  He looked a little plain ... besides who doesn't like a little shimmer?
I set him aside and added some pattern paper to the bottom portion of my card to emulate a floor.  I love the buffalo plaid.  I added a tiny strip of black paper to define the area. I added the Action Wobble that comes also with the stamp and coordinating die.  You can also buy packages of Action Wobbles over at the Ai site. I love these things! They add so much dept to your card with out you even trying - LOL
I don't feel like this card needs much.  The Santa is definitely my main focal point. So I finished it off with some crystal gems.  I think it looks like it is snowing.
Doesn't the Action Wobble really make the Santa stand out?  When you flick him, he actually rocks!
Here is the finished card one more time.  I really like how it represent the classic Christmas look.  I am a sucker for Christmas and good ol' Christmas charm.

Thank you so much for stopping by and spending some time with me.  Please come back again soon soon and see what myself and the rest of the team have been up to.

Blessed & Grateful by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card I made using the Birdhouse Neighborhood, the WC Sentiment Set 2, and the Circle Double Stitch Dies
I started by stamping my Birdhouse Neighborhood stamp set on the middle of my kraft card base. I colored my image with my Polychromos colored pencils. I moved on to my watercolor piece. I started by blending my ink onto the watercolor paper.  I only used two colors and blended them to make the middle color. I cut a circle with my Circle Double Stitched Dies and glued it so it was centered onto my card base with my Birdhouse Neighborhood image showing.
I added Wink of Stella to the whole colored area.  I wanted to make the image pop and I figured what better way than to add Wink of Stella to it ... I mean who doesn't love a little sparkle?
As you can see in the picture above I stamped my Blessed & Grateful sentiment to my one inch banner strip I made using the WC Sentiment Set 2 . I glued down the left side of my sentiment strip and I raised the banner side up with one layer of foam tape.  I absolutely love when I can do this to an image or sentiment.  It give so much dept to the card and to my sentiment strip with hardly any effort. What do you think?  Like it?
I finished my card off with some Crystal Nuvo Drops.  This has been my go-to embellishment lately.   I added the same three colors as my card front, I just varied the color so red wasnt on red and so forth.
Here is one more look at the full card.  I love this card can be almost anything from a miss you card, a thank you card, a friendship card, or even a new home card.

Thank you so much for spending part of your Wednesday with me.  Please come back again soon and see what we are up to here at Art Impressions.

Gobble, Gobble by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I made using the Gobble Set.  It is a really fun action set.  It uses an Action Wobble.
I started with a standard A2 Kraft card base.  I added some Halloween chevron paper I had to the bottom portion of my card. I trimmed it with a thin piece of gold glitter paper. I then cut two identical pieces of gold card stock with the Circle Double Stitched Dies. I also cut two identical smaller circles from white cards stock.  I glued them together and to the front of my card and also on the inside of my card.
I Copic colored my two pieces of my turkey and fussy cut them out and added Wink of Stella to the feathers. I attached the turkey head to the front of my card with foam tape.
I attached the turkey butt with the Action Wobble to the inside circle.

I masked off my sentiment so I only stamped "Gobble" to the front of my card and then did the same on the inside to only say "til you Wobble." I finished off my card with some black enamel dots to the front.  I love how his little turkey butt wobbles when you open the card.
Here is one more look at the full card.  thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Please come back again soon to see what we are all sharing.

Someone Sweet by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I made using the Cupcake BFF set.  I am always in need of birthday cards.
I started by Copic coloring my birthday gal with her cupcake. I cut her out and set her aside.  I cut a piece of black card stock a little bigger that my lady.  I then cut my gold glitter card stock a 1/4" bigger than my black piece.  I attached the back card stock to the gold piece.  I added my birthday gal to the black piece with foam tape.
I added Wink of Stella to my birthday gals top and to her cupcake.  I added a piece of red card stock to my white A2 card base.  I added a smaller piece of white card stock to the red piece and stamped my sentiment to the bottom right of the white card stock.
I added my gold finished piece to the white base at an angle.  I absolutely love how it turned out.  I finished it off with some purple/gray enamel dots.
Here is one more look at the full card.  Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Please come back again soon to see what we are all sharing.

Happy Fright Night | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

Today I'm using some Tombow Markers to watercolor these shaky little critters from the Quivery Mini Shaker set. This set was made to use with the Action Wobbles and even includes a few to get you started on these fun interactive cards. It's October so I have to get in all those cute little Halloween cards before the month is up!

This set comes with the extra dies and stamps to create the bodies that are popped up from the Action Wobblers, which gives these critters extra dimension. I stamped all the critters and extras on to a piece of Ranger Watercolor paper using Versafine Clair ink. Then embossed with clear embossing powder.

For my coloring I used Tombow Markers, the colors I used are listed below. Coloring directly to the paper with the Tombow Marker, then blending out with a clean wet brush. I find it easiest to work quickly when using the markers directly to the watercolor paper, immediately blending out with the brush. Once I had the lightest colors down and all my areas were dry, I applied the darker colors the same way. Taking the marker directly to the paper and blending out with a clean brush.

I fussy cut the three characters out and used the coordinating dies on the pig and duck. Also die cutting a piece of navy card stock using the largest oval from the Oval Double Stitched die. I ran that oval through my die cutting machine several more times with the little star die form the Tagged Double Stitch die set. Then added some white splatter to the top of the oval and a bit of ink blending on the bottom half using Peeled Paint Distress Oxide. It's just enough to add some color.

After heat setting the distress oxide ink I used the "Happy Fright Night" sentiment and white heat embossed it. Adhering the oval to a Neenah Solar White 110lb card base and attaching the three animals on top. The Action Wobblers come with a release paper that you peel off. I attached the Action Wobblers to the back of the die cut bodies first, then peeled off the release paper on the other side and attached over the top of the large stamp image. Matching up the character shapes.

The Quivery Mini Shaker stamp set also comes with a couple of extra small dies. These dies don't have coordinating stamp but there is two sizes of bats, a pumpkin and a ghost die. I also added some shimmer and sparkle to the stars with a Wink of Stella pen. Perfect for the current Art Impressions challenge #267 Make it Sparkle!

Christmas Wreath by Niccole

Hello Ai fans!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I am sharing a card I made using the Christmas Wreath set. I need to get started on my Christmas cards.  This is the first one I have made for the season. I better get crackin'!
I started by using a A2 card base.  I added some green foil paper that was cut down a 1/4".  I added a white card piece 1/4" smaller than the green foil piece. I stamped my "Merry Christmas" sentiment to the middle bottom of the top white piece.
I absolutely love that this set; Christmas Wreath, comes with the clear stamp set but also the dies to cut the wreath and the bow.  It also comes with the holly berries and a couple leaves too, but I did not use that stamps.
I stamped my wreath and cut it out with the die.  I did the same with the bow.  I Copic colored them and added Wink of Stella to the berries and the bow.  I glued the bow to the top center of my wreath.  I popped up the wreath on my card with foam tape.
I finished it off with some clean gems to glisten like snow. Voila ... that's it.  I love how simple but elegant the card looks.
Here is one more look at the full card.  Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  Please come back again soon to see what we are all sharing.

Spiders Oh My ... by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

I am sharing a fun card I made using the 5038 Ghoul Friends stamp set along with 5064 Circle Double Stitched dies.
I started by cutting three different circles from the circle dies in my dark gray card stock.  I wanted the pattern to go from small to large circles.
On my white card stock I figured out where my circles were and used pencil to mark them so I knew where to stamp my spiders. I stamped them with my black ink.
I stamped my sentiment on white card stock and framed it with coordinating card stock to make it stand out more. I added some Wink of Stella to make it shimmer some. I also added some Nuvo Drops and crystals to give it more dimension.
Here is one more look at the full card; I made two one with orange and another with purple. Thank you so much for stopping by and spending a little time with me.  I hope you were able to find some Halloween inspiration. Please stop back again soon.
