No Line Coloring.

Hello Ai Fans!!
Its me Piali here sharing a tutorial today.
Do you remember THIS post???
First time I tried out the No-Line coloring technique....after that few Ai fans asked me about that technique, last week I received an email from Audrey ( Edmonton, Canada) requesting more details.... like a tutorial for this no-line coloring .
So Audrey here is a step by step photo tutorial ...just the way I did my card, I'm not a pro, so hope this helps!!!
You all can find video tutorials HERE, HERE and HERE....more on Youtube.

I used new Ai People stamp...Sally Swimmer Set (Sku#4323)
Love this image!!!

Step#1
I used Memento Angel Pink ink for stamping...you can use any very light colored ink pad...I sometimes use Distress ink-Antique Linen too.
I use Copics for most of coloring.

Step #2
One important tip( I found it very useful)...make sure to stamp the image with black or dark ink on scrap paper for reference.Sometimes, light stamped image is very hard to see that's when reference image comes handy.

Step #3
Simple copic coloring....

You should color the image like usually, just follow the lines of image.
Try to do a bit of shading so that all the fine details of the image are seen.
I color the skin tones first , once the main body frame is done it gets lot easier.

Step #4

Finish coloring...
Make sure not to use very dark shades, blending the dark colors quickly so that there is no harsh line visible.
It gives a cool Water colored look!!!!!

Hope you all liked my tutorial!!!!

Card Box Tutorial with JEAN!!

Hello Ai Fans!

You might remember that I recently went on a note card spree and made quite a few for my Sister-in-law.  I wanted a cute way to send them to her so I made this nifty little card holder for her to store them in.  I know I always like to know how someone made something so I've included my tutorial for you.  My image and phrase are from Art Impressions.

Supply list...
2 pieces of paper 8.5"x 5.5"
1 piece of paper 5" x 12"
Border punch
various dies and punches
ribbon

This size box will hold 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch cards.  Mine held 8 comfortably.

1. Start with two pieces of card stock or designer paper cut to 8.5"x5.5" (I used double-sided paper since both sides will show.)  Then score the 5.5" side on one end.  Repeat on second piece.  At this point you may cut a decorative edge on the top portion if you like.  I used a border punch.  Edgeabilities would work well too.

 2. Next, if you'd like a handle go ahead and punch or die cut a shape on both pieces to make a hole.  I placed them together and punched them at the same time to be sure they lined up.  Now glue the two pieces where they are scored together to make the outside of your card box.

3. Next you need to make the inside box.  Cut a piece of card stock or DP to 5"x12". Score at 1" and then turn the paper and score at 1", 5.5" 6.5" and 11".  Fold at the score lines and glue together at "one inch seam section."

4. Glue this part of the box onto the inside of the other portion.

5.Decorate the inside if you'd like.

6. Decorate the front of your box.  Secure at the top with a pretty bow.

Try this...

...just two colors on your card. I used white cardstock and brown ink and a little bit brown paper.
First I stamped the City park to backgroundpaper with brown ink. Add the ink to edges.
Then I stamped the couple on the bench to different paper and add the ink to edges too.

Then I added some ribbons, flowers and photocorners.

Happy Stamping =)

Are You Getting Ready To Think About EASTER CARDS???

Today, I am going to show you how to make charming Easter cards using Art Impressions front and back stamps. First cut a piece of paper 5 inches by 6 inches. Measure up 3 inches on the 6 inch side and draw a light line across with erasable pencil.
On that line... measure in 5/8of an inch from each side on the line that you just drew. Next, measure up one inch from the 5/8 inch mark.connect with another light pencil line.Cut the 5/8 inch line and the top line across and fold the card with the sign sticking up.
Next, I used a stamp positioner to stamp the front bunnies so the sign that says EASTER will line up on the sticking up part. Color the bunnies to suit your design.

Next, I used the stamp positioner on the inside of the card to stamp the back of the bunnies and the Easter part of the sign. I used the stamp positioner again. Color the bunny's backs to match the bunny's fronts.
As you can see on the card below, I used Art Impressions water color stamps to add flowers and grass so my bunnies did not look like they were floating. I also used some stickles on the flowers too. This is the front of my card and when you open it...
Here is the back...

CUTE, EASY... FUN!!!
I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial and if you decide to give this a try... Please link your creation in the comments section so that we can see your work too! Thanks for popping in!

Make a Perfect Bow using a Simple Template

Here's very simple way to make beautiful bows.

You'll need "bow machine"

The plastic one is quite slippery and not very easy to make bows, so I made smaller one with thick cardboard and it's not so slippery.

Select ribbon

spin the ribbon around

hmm... words are missing, hope you understand from my pictures....

Make a knot

Tighten the knot

Turn around and slide the bow off.

Cut ribbon heads

Attach to ribbon or straight to your creation.

Happy Crafting !!!
