Is It Spring Yet!

Hello Monday!
We had a beautiful weekend here! It was great! In the 70's I think yesterday. I even dabbled a little pulling weeds to feel the sun and then it was back to the stamp room before Easter dinner!

For my card this week, I used the birdhouse and bird from the WaterColor Series 5 set. It comes with the birdhouse, bird, a flower basket and stand for the basket. I stamped the images with black ink and then colored them with copic markers. Added some glitter, flowers and rhinestones. The ribbon is holding the card closed.
TheWatercolor sets are really fun to work with. You can do lots of things with them. Just stamp and color this image like I did. Or the flowers, plants and things you color right on the stamps with markers and stamp all kinds of fun things.

My papers are digi papers and Lucky Limeade cardstock. I used the fun square die from Spellbinders.

Happy Spring and Stamping!

Congratulations on your retirement!

There are 2 women that I work closely with that
are retiring at the end of this school year.  This
is a card that I plan to take to school for our "lunchtime crew"
to sign.  There are several of us that have had lunch together
almost every day for the past 4 years and we want to
do something special for our friends leaving us.
This is for one of the women who loves gardening
and flowers.

The stamp I used is called Country To.
It's from the Envelope Art line at Art Impressions.

The cool thing about this stamp is that it's meant to go
on the front of your envelope.  It's just too pretty to only
go on the envelope though.  I thought it deserved its own
card.  I took a photo split and cut it in half.  I placed the
sticky side on to the "to" to block it out.  Then I inked up my
stamp,  pulled of the sticker and stamped the image. This way
I get the beautiful mailbox without the "to" on it.

I used Spellbinders dies for the ovals and the larger
part of the flower.  The smaller flower was made with
a punch.

I've also used a verse from AI on the front.

Here's a photo of the inside where
I used a Martha Stewart punch to make a picket fence.

I have used "Joyful Kate"-stamp in this card. I didn´t used any text this time. I just like to keep this card simple. I usually color images with promarkers, but this time I used only color pencil ( Caran D´ache).

Monday Greetings!

Here is my card forArt Impressions for this week. My last Easter card. I went with the sketch fromClean & Simple friday sketch challenge. You can tell by the name what it is all about. So I used my martha stewart punch and some paper scraps. My cute little bunny can be found here. He is called Bunny Basket. I also used the greetings here. It was really hard for me to go so simple on this card but once it was done I really liked how it turned out.

Still sizzlin' BBQ couple

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!
I'm so sorry.  I'm supposed to post on Sundays
but I'm a little late today.  "Technically" it's Monday
in my time zone.
Anyways,  I'm hoping you'll like this adorable
couple and forgive me!  They can be found
at Art Impressions.

This cute couple is called BBQ
They're part of a great clear set that AI offers.
In my part of the U.S. we're anxiously awaiting
spring so we can get outdoors and start BBQing again!
