I have colored my image with copics, and dappled the Pony by using a sponge and alcohol.
I have so much fun with the Front and Back series, the combinations you can use are endless.

Chicken Anyone!

Monday Again! This little chicken is kicked back drinking a cup of tea. Looks like he is just gabbing away. I stamped him and then colored him with copic markers. He's got eggs for anyone that needs them. You can find him right here. There are lots of other chickens and some great sayings also.
Go check them out!
Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday from Polar Phil!

Polar Phil...he's not just for Christmas!
I never seem to have any kids birthday card
around when someone asks for them so I decided
to go ahead and make one. This little guy was meant
for Christmas but doesn't he work great for a birthday
card too?  Kids love polar bears!
He's part of the Polar Pals line at Art Impressions.

I pulled out some tools that have been collecting
dust for a very long time!  My Sizzix wagon and
a balloon and bow punch.  The gift was made with a
square punch and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
My clouds and Ric Rac are from My Favorite Things
but those get lots of use!  For some reason I just love clouds!
The birthday border is from Martha Stewart.

Inside I used CELEBRATE from AI and a
border from EK Success.
My card front shape was made with Spellbinders
grand label dies.

Here are the guidelines provided by OWH:
1. No Glitter - It is a safety hazard for our heroes. Read more.
2. A2 Sized Cards Only - 4.25" x 5.5" for easier shipping. Read more.
3. Line Dark Cards with Light Cardstock - If a pencil won't show up, add a lighter sheet inside. Read more.
4. Limit Multiples - No more than 100 cards. Read more
5. Any Quantity is okay - One, a bunch, or a box full; however we need quality, not quantity. Read more.
6. SOME lumpiness is okay - Our heroes don't have to pay for letter mail, but that doesn't mean we can go wild with layering and embellishments.
7. DO NOT hand write sentiments - Neither outside or inside. Read more.
8. Use quality supplies - Computer paper, foams, itty bitty stickers and glue sticks don't holdup to the rigors of the battlefront. It's okay to make fewer cards with better supplies - every card counts!
9. Card Themes - Remember who's sending these: adults. No cards to Daddy, no "wish you were here," or party invitations; no explicit images or sentiments.
10. Absolutely no store-bought - Neither complete cards, NOR cards repurposing parts of them. It endangers our trademark. Read more.

Here are the Ai weekly challenge guidelines:
1.  Please make a new card or creation for these challenges. You can make a 3D item if you wish ... this is not limited to cards!
2. Limit two submissions per person. You will be entered twice if you use Art Impressions stamps!
3.  Please link directly to your creation so we can get a good look at your creativity!
4. You will have until SUNDAY at 6 p.m. PST to enter your creations.

Also, "Like" us on Facebook this weekend for a free stamp with purchase! It'll be a "Whoot!"

We truly appreciate your participation! Happy Stamping!

Still One More Visit From the Easter Bunny...

Hi Everyone! My name is Maria
This is my first time posting here on the AI Blog so I thought I'd introduce myself. I have been making samples for Art Impressions for almost a year, sort...of behind the scenes :) Now, I am honored to be posting along with the Design Team on Fridays. I LOVE Art Impressions stamps and have so much fun playing with them. I can't wait to share what I make with you!

To start out I thought I'd show you a few of my Easter samples. You may have seen them on the AI Facebook page. I am Greek and this coming Sunday is our Easter so the bunny is still on my mind!

And here they are together.
See you next time!

Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I am showing a card that I just learned to make this evening at club, Thank You Trish.

This is known as a Cascading Card and it's my 1st attempt. I am ready to try another.

I added 2 arches to be able to attach more items of interest. However from this angle it looks like a handle. This card design, in my humble opinion, is difficult to photograph. Since this is my 1st one, I am sure you will see me do another one of these soon. This one needs some tweeking, LOL.

Supplies I used:
Stamps - Art Impressions I-2529 mini memories backgroundE464 Thanks,F2520 MargaretE2518 Helene ProfileG2642 Mini Ladies Hat
Card stock/paper used - Green CS, Green Designer Papers, White CS
Inks used - Distress Ink Old Paper, Gathered Twigs
Butterflies were given to me
Flowers
Spellbinders Dies - Labels Sixteen S4-301, Labels Seventeen S5-025,Scalloped Circles S4-115 & S4-117

OWH card...

This morning I decided to do another card for OWH.  I have kept my card simple, blank inside so a letter can be written, and no greeting on the outside.
I have colored my image with copics, distressed the edges and added a ribbon. It is a quick, CAS card.

The image can be found at Art Impressions HERE!
I hope a lot of you wonderful ladies make cards for Operation Write Home, it is such a worthy cause.

Is It Spring Yet!

Hello Monday!
We had a beautiful weekend here! It was great! In the 70's I think yesterday. I even dabbled a little pulling weeds to feel the sun and then it was back to the stamp room before Easter dinner!

For my card this week, I used the birdhouse and bird from the WaterColor Series 5 set. It comes with the birdhouse, bird, a flower basket and stand for the basket. I stamped the images with black ink and then colored them with copic markers. Added some glitter, flowers and rhinestones. The ribbon is holding the card closed.
TheWatercolor sets are really fun to work with. You can do lots of things with them. Just stamp and color this image like I did. Or the flowers, plants and things you color right on the stamps with markers and stamp all kinds of fun things.

My papers are digi papers and Lucky Limeade cardstock. I used the fun square die from Spellbinders.

Happy Spring and Stamping!
