Dance like no one's watching...

I felt like making a purple card yesterday. I know that probably sounds strange
but that's how this card started. I flipped through my index book of all my
Art Impressions stamps and thought the girlfriends would look good in purple.

I paper-pieced their leotards and colored the rest of them
with Copic markers.
The image and verses are from a set called
Dancers set of 4.
(they're also sold separately if you prefer)

Here's a picture of the inside
and don't forget about the challenge here at Art Impressions
challenge blog right now.  This week it's all about
anything relating to fitness, workouts or dieting.

Girlfriends

This is a card which has already gone to recipient, so I can publish it here too:)
I have used Picture Perfect -stamp, but only two ladies from it.

Tämä on mennyt jo saajalleen, joten voin sen myös täällä julkaista:)
Olen käyttänyt "Picture Perfect" -leimasinta. mutta vain kahta leidiä siitä.

Inside the card is  a tag with "Wellcome" text in it.
Kortin sisäpuolella on tagi, jossa lukee "Tervetuloa".

Happy weekend!!
Hyvää viikonloppua!!

It's The Little Things

Hi, it's Maria. I don't know about you, but sometimes I think we forget about the little things in life--the IMPORTANT things in life, like just sitting down with some Girlfriends and having together time. That is what this stamp reminds me of EVERY time I see it. It is Girfriends Blend. I think I will keep this short and sweet this Friday--there are some Girlfriends I need to call and make a date with :)
Have a great weekend!
Colored with Copics.
Embossing Folder is Cuttlebug Polka Dot.

Gossip Club Girls

Today I am posting a card using the Gossip Club ladies , you can just imagine what they are chatting up over tea about others not in their club. I chose to give this card a bit of a vintage feel by using a vintage rose paper and making a grudge rose, then I misted the flowers with pearl shimmer mist .The Gossip girls were colored with Copic markers , and Spica glitter pens , I also added glossy accents to the eyeglasses and gold jewelry,I added Viva pearl pen in cream to the necklace and earrings. I think these little touches really bring a card to life. Thanks for stopping by and make your day an Ai day ...

Front & Back Tutorial

Last week I said I would use the fence this week with Front & Back images, and so I did! :o)  Last year I had the awesome opportunity to attend a Front & Back class with Bonnie and Kendra! I got lots of great tips on how to use the images.

This is Becky. Isn't she just a cutie pie! Further down I included photos of more cards with Front & Backs I've done.

I stamped Becky onto Cryogen card stock with a Memento black ink pad.   I stamped the fence two times. I colored with Copic Markers first and then cut out all the images.

Next, I planned my placement.  I laid the fence on the front of the card and cut the front of the base card right at the top the fence.  I trimmed the little piece to the right of the fence. I also trimmed the back of the base card.  I don't think the relative that I send this card to will notice that it's slightly smaller than an A2 size greeting card. :o)

I added a smokey blue piece of card stock to the inside (which is also the outside) and stamped the WC limb several times in the corner as if there's a tree over Becky's shoulder.  I used the small grass clump to add some grass under the fence outside and inside.   I adhered the front and back of Becky's head together. NOTE: be sure to trim right up to the line and they will match perfectly.

For final placement. I adhered Becky to the fence checking for placement on the inside and out before pressing down.

Below are some more cards I made with Front & Back images.

Get Caffeinated!

Happy Monday Everyone!
These gals look like they are having lots of fun together! They are from the Girlfriends line at Art Impressions. I used the set Girlfriends Blends . It has this image and I think three great sentiments. I have used two of them on this card. I love how they are laughing and having a good time.
Have a great week and Happy Stamping!

Hey Pardner!

Yee Haw!
There are two things that I love and I don't really know why.
Nautical and western themed things.  I don't really care much for
the beach (I'm incredibly pale with freckles) and I don't care much
for cows or horses yet I LOVE making nautical and western themed
cards.  Go figure!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made.
I've used several Art Impressions stamps on this card
On the front I used Hey Pardner (J1661) and the boot from
the Mouthfuls Dog (CS3286) clear set.

Here's a close up so you can see how cute
the boot is.

On the inside I used the verse Heres Hopin (F1659)
and the hat from the Mouthfuls Dog set. (I trimmed it a
bit so it would sit around my verse nicely)

P.S. If you love western like me there are several
other adorable western themed stamps at AI.
I know I have,,,
Wagon Wheel (Sku#H1523)
Slim (Sku#K1686)
 Haybale (Sku#E1506)
 Rope (Sku#E1505)

Asleep On The Job

Hi, it's Maria. Have you seen that the new AI People are now available in the online store? This one, called Asleep on the Job is so much fun!
You can purchase it HERE.

I used some paper piecing and colored the rest of the card with Copics.
With such a great image there really isn't much you need to add to make a fun card.
Have a great weekend!
