Jean has hit the Jackpot

Hello Ai Fans !
Today's card was made with Slots Jean sku # UM-3510 , I thought she would make a fun card , I bought the unmounted set of 3  ,you get the main image of Jean at her favorite slot machine and the 2 sentiments in this set. I kept this card simple , I used a wine red card base at 5 1/2"  by 4 1/4" and then made a layer in black at 5 1/4" by 4" I then used a stitch punch around the black layer and then used VersaMark and clear embossing powder and stamped the word jackpot and a cherry stamp I had to create a back ground , using clear embossing kept the base layer neutral so the stamp image would pop off the card , I did not want it too busy to take away from all the fun Jean was having at her slot machine ..lol .. I popped this layer up on glue dots and wrapped Charcoal and red bakers twine around the back layer and attached it to the red card base , I stamped Jean in memento black ink and colored her with copic markers , I also stamped Jackpot and colored it in 28 gold and then colored it with my gelly roll pen in clear star to add some glitz.I cut out Jean and popped her up on foam tape and did the same to the sentiment Jackpot . Inside the card I made the same black base with the stitching punch and then made a white layer , I inked around the white layer with red ink and stamped Jackpot around the outer edges I colored them in gold and glitter pen too. I stamped the "Life is just a row of cherries " in the center .

Supplies: Slots Jean sku#UM-3510 , versamark , clear embossing powder , powder tray , stitch edge punch , copics , clear star glitter pen , glue dots , foam tape

Thanks for stopping by and have an 8upscrapin day : )

Soaring

Hello Ai Fans! This week I'm working on an outdoor scene.

I started with the background, layering color. I used a stylus and a light touch to pull color from the edge of Cryogen cardstock in. I started with the lightest blue - I squirted a few drops of ink into the lid, picked up color and pulled from the edge in going all the way to the center. I then added the next darkest blue, picking up color from the ink pad going not as far into the center, and so on - until the final layer of dark blue close to the edge.

I used a die cut to make a template for the clouds. I picked up the lightest blue with the stylus made small circles over the edge of the template creating subtle clouds.
For the forest image, I used a combination of blue and black inks, and stamping off on some of them to make the trees look like they were off in the distance. The eagle is stamped with VersaFine.

List of Supplies Used: Stamps -  Soaring Eagle #F3262Sm. Forest #E692; Paper - Cryogen, glossy white; Coloring/Ink - Memento Ink Pads summer sky, bahama blue, danube blue, paris dusk, tuxedo black, VersaFine onyx black ink pad; Accessories: stylus, Spellbinders die cut

Thanks for visiting!  Please stop by tomorrow and see what Crystal has to share!!

BRA-VO!! Another Sneak Peek

Hi Ai Fans! I'm early this week! I'm usually here on Tuesdays, but this week I get to share today too!! I'm sharing another sneak peek from the summer CHA release!

Would you believe, there was no coloring on this card and it's still adorable?! I know, isn't that crazy?! :o) We made this cute, cute card in the Ai class I was in with Bonnie and Kate a few weeks ago.  The bra image was stamped onto design paper. I cut it out and adhere it to the design paper.  Don't you just love the pop of the pink on top of the black and white?!  Check your local stamp or scrap booking store for the image.

Take care and STAY POSITIVE!!

An elephant never forgets!

 "Hello Ai Fans!"
This week I'm working on a birthday card for a man.
This is one of my new Art Impressions images that I got last month. There was no photo so took a chance and I'm glad I did.  He's so darn cute!!  His info is Elephant sku#M1181 if you're interested in him. I printed the verse I used with him from my computer.  You can always use a belated birthday card for those "unfortunate" moments when you realize you're late!

See how cute he is!!

I just love the AI Zoo animals and....GREAT news!!  I just found out that they're going to have some new releases soon!  I can't wait to see them!!

 Tools and accessories:
 Elephant sku#M1181
Spellbinders label die
square punch to make banner notches
Copic markers #'s
C1, C3, W3, R22, YG06, YG17
flat back stones

Here's the inside of my card.

Stay Balanced...

Hello Ai Fans!! Today I'm sharing another sneak peek from the AI People line of the CHA release.

I stamped onto X-press cardstock with Memento ink. Next I stamped Jacque. I really just wanted him for his pastries and hot chocolate this time, so I only stamped his upper body. :o) I colored all the pieces with my Copics.  I used a Spellbinders die cuts to cut a circle around my image. I masked the woman, left the die cut in place and airbrushed a bright orange around her.

I cut out Jacque's pastries and put them on the inside with the sentiment and some of the design paper (BasicGrey).    Please check with your local stamp or scrap booking store for availability of the CHA release.  Check at Art Impressions in mid-August to see when the new AI People are coming out on-line!

List of Supplies Used: Stamps - New Ai People, Jacque; Coloring -  Copic Markers; Ink - Memento Black ink pad; Paper - Basic Grey design paper, Stampin' Up!, X-press

Lovelle window card

Hello Ai Fans !!
I made this window card base several weeks ago for last weeks Thursday's challenge , I picked out the papers and made the base and the decided it was not going in the direction I wanted ,so I re-grouped and I thought it was going to be better matched for a Lovelle ( sku # L2620) card but I did not have that stamp yet so I ordered it and set the base aside until I got her . Well Lovelle is here and I think she looks right at home in this card , I colored her with my colored pencils and used gamsol with the pencils , my pencils are wax based and what gamsol does is melt the wax and blends your pencils very well , this is the first time I have ever used this method so you can see you don't have to be a pro to get awesome results , I chalked around the image with a golden tan chalk to give a glow effect and to pull in the background paper , I then cut her out using my oval dies .I added flower sprays around the front window opening , I used a glitter mix me and my friend Rhonda (www.paperprayers.com ) made fot the flower centers. The flowers are made from a Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch from white cardstock then to used a SU ballet blue marker to add some interest and dimension to them , only on the center of each petal. The fern branches are from a Martha Stewart punch .I also added Viva decor pearl pen in pearl white around the window and in the center of the ting white flowers. Glossy accents were added to Lovelle's glasses.Around the card base frond I did some paper piercing in scallops , the window trim was ran thru the swirl embossing folder and the inked with bordering blue , this will make the swirls stand out more , I love how it all came together .

Supplies : Lovelle sku # L2620 , colored pencils , gamsol , glitter mix , viva pearl pen , glossy accents , chalk , oval sizzix die , Art Philosophy cartridge card base on pg 65 , memento ink ,
