Sarah's Business

Hello Ai Fans! This week I want to introduce you to Sarah.

Sarah is just chillin', working her business - selling vegetables. She has the sweetest smile on her face. To me it looks like she's dreaming. I think she's dreaming of how big her business is going to be!

First I colored Fronts and Backs Sarah and the stand. Next I cut them out. I also cut around her elbows so that she would be able to place them on the stand shelf. I used a black marker to line around the edges. I do that with all images I cut out.

Since Sarah's back is the larger piece, I arranged the inside first. I used a light pencil mark to show me where the back side of the stand should be placed. After adhering the stand inside, I used the craft knife to cut out the window.

I lined the front of the stand up with the hole and adhered it. TIP:  Use liquid glue to allow more time to position your pieces exactly where you want them. If you find your hole does not quite line up, you can add some color all the way around.  Another option is to just cut the hole a little larger than the image before adhering.

I used the black marker to edge around the inside of the hole.  Next I placed Sarah. I added adhesive to her hat, face and shoulders, leaving her elbows free. I used liquid glue to place her behind her stand, so I could get her just right before pressing down.  For Sarah's produce,  I stamped the barrel and crate first, masked the tops and stamped the veggies. I colored them and cut them out.

Asleep on the Job!

Hello and Happy Friday Ai Fans!
I don't know about you, but I certainly have felt like this lady on my card today! Isn't she FUN! She is from the Ai People line SKU# 4160 Asleep on the Job Set.
For my card I started out with a 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" gray card base. On the front of my card I cut a strip off (about 1-1/12"), so you can see part of the inside of the pretty matching designer paper. I layered the front of my card with orange cardstock, and some pretty designer paper from My Minds Eye. I then sewed the layers onto the base of my card. I added some fun velvet orange ribbon, and die cut two circles to layer on the front. I stamped my fun image on the white cardstock circle, colored her in with Prisma Color pencils, and blended with gamsol and paper stumps. Layered her on my orange cardstock die cut. I cut a piece of some pretty lace, and glued it on the inside, just so it peeked out enough to see for a nice accent.
For the inside I used matching designer paper. I sewed around the edges for a nice touch. Then I cut a small panel of white cardstock,  (cut down so when you close the card you won't see it, you only see the designer paper). I stamped the inside with the FUN sentiment that comes with Asleep on the Job Set. For the final touches I added three rhinestones. Here is a close up of the colored image.

Materials used: Stamps: SKU# 4160 Asleep on the Job Set; gray, orange and white cardstock, designer paper: My Minds Eye, Indie Chic "Saffron", 6"x6" paper pad; orange velvet ribbon: American  Crafts; lace trim: Joann's Fabric; circle dies: Spellbinders; corner rounder; orange and white rhinestones: Hero Arts; Sewing machine; white thread; black ink: Memento; Tea Dye Ink: Tim Holtz/Ranger; Prisma Color Pencils; Gamsol; paper stumps.
Hope you have enjoyed my creation made with fabulous Ai stamps. Thanks for stopping by and have a safe weekend!

This week, our favorite color honors those who are fighting, those who have won and those we will miss forever. Everyone, whether friend or family, has been affected by breast cancer.
We choose pink.
Supporting the fighters.

Think Pink !!!

Hello Ai Fans !!

October is Breast Cancer awareness month , this card was made in honor of all who have fought the battle and to remind the rest of us to have your yearly screenings for prevention . I lost my best friend and my grandmother to this terrible disease and I pray that they find a cure soon so our daughters and granddaughters may never have to go thru this fight. So today's card was made using Bra Keeper sku # 4199 this is a huge stamp it measures 4" by 3 1/4" and comes with two sentiments" Bra-vo "and "From your Bosom Buddy" .
I made this card all in pink  ,I cut  ribbons from a 2" die  and layered them on the pink base , I ran them in different directions to create lots of interest , I stamped the bra in 2 kinds of shimmer paper and then fussy cut and layered it together , I cut off the top ruffle and added real lace , this is a pocket card so you could add money in it if you so choose  or you can leave it without as I did . I added a pink glitter bow to the middle .

Tea For Two

Hello Ai Fans! This week I'm working on a little fall scene. These five little pumpkins are so cute!

I knew I wanted to use them, but didn't know how.  I looked through my stamps to find just the right images to feature with them. The person who receives this invitation to tea could not say no to those little faces. :o) I stamped the door and window first. I masked the window and stamped the chair and table last. The pumpkins were stamped on a scrap piece of cardstock, colored and cut out.

On the inside I put a little strip of the reverse side of the design paper and stamped the pumpkins.

Please come back tomorrow to see what great project that Crystal has to share!

Thanks for visiting!

Take care and STAY POSITIVE!
