Comfy With My Girlfriends

Hello Ai Fans!
This week I'm hanging out with Girlfriends!  They are having an old fashioned sleep over - staying up late, popcorn, and of course, lots of laughing.

I stamped the Comfy on Couch Set (Sku#4050)  main image onto Cryogen cardstock and colored all the girl's skin with markers. I stamped the same image on a variety of design papers from GF Card Kit 2 (Sku#4303).

I cut out pieces for their clothing and adhered with liquid glue. TIPS: If you find a piece is not fitting just right next to another piece, trim it closer and use a black pen or mulitiliner to thicken the black line. That way any white space will be covered.  To add some variation in color, use the markers to color over areas of the design paper. To get glue in small areas, use a tool pick.

This perfect sentiment comes with the set.

Below is a photo of all the colors I used:

Come back tomorrow to see what lovely project Crystal has to share!

Thanks for visiting!

Take care and STAY POSITIVE!

A thank you from Jean.

Hello Ai fans!

Click HERE for the OWH Memorial Day Blog Hop!

I'm sharing a card featuring Jean (SKU# T3476) using the Grad card kit (SKU#4304).

I used the sketch #161 from Operation Write Home.

I colored the Jean with copic markers, fuzzy cut her out, adhered with some foam dots.  I also added a couple wooden button from GF Card Kit 1 or Kit 2 (SKU#4302 or SKU#4303) and a wooden sentiment.

I hope you like you and have a great day!

Operation Write Home Sketch with Spectacular Set!

Hello Ai Fans!

"If you are looking for our Operation Write Home blog hop, scroll down to our Saturday post."

Today I'm sharing a thank you card since that's the theme of the blog hop.  I've also used a different type of bow since that's this week's Art Impressions challenge.
I've used sketch #165 from OWH.

I've put together a little "how to" for this pull out tag card...

1. Cut your base paper to be 5 1/2" x 11" and score at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2".

Glue the "envelope" closed at one end and along the seam.

Cut your decorative papers for the front.
The matte (my coral piece) is 5 1/4" x 4",
the patterned paper is 5" x 3 3/4" and the peach strip is 1 1/2" x 5".  Punch your desired border design onto (2) 1" x 5" strips.

Glue all pieces together.

Cut a "half" circle with a die.  This is a lot of pieces of paper to cut through so you may need to trim it with scissors if the cut doesn't go all the way through.

Cut your ribbon lengths to be 4 1/4", 4 1/2" and 6".  The 4 1/4" piece is adhered to the card with glue lines.  The other pieces are folded and adhered to each other with glue dots.  Top with a little self adhesive dot and stamp your verse.  I used Thanks from Art Impressions.

Cut and glue your tag pieces.

Stamp, color and cut out mouse.  Stamp your verse and glue mouse to tag.
Punch your hole for the tag ribbon and you're finished.  I've used a new set from Ai called Spectacular Set.

You can personalize this on the back of the tag.

OWH Memorial Day Bloghop

Welcome to the Art Impressions Blog! Thank you for joining us for the Memorial Day Bloghop for Operation Write Home! Operation Write Home is an amazing organization who send blank, handmade cards to our nation's troops, so they can write letters home to family and loved ones, as well as encouraging notes thanking those serving.

We appreciate this wonderful organization that brings troops and their families a little closer together, although they might be worlds apart. We are very passionate about our support for those who are serving for us. It's our family, our friends, that are laying their life on the line.

That being said, we have a wonderful announcement ...
We are so excited to be partnering with OWH to help expand their vision! We hope you join us on June 15 for the big reveal and inspiration for our new sets!

We're also extending a great offer for this fun weekend!

Our designer, Piali Biswas, has created a fun card for the bloghop "Thank You" card theme! You can take a little hop over to her blog for the details!
Piali used our To The End set and Owe You set
She used sketch #68

Thank you for joining us! We hope you enjoy the bloghop and have a wonderful Memorial weekend!
