Christmas Elves by Renee Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

This is my second post today because I couldn't resist showing you one last Christmas card!  I'm so sad that I didn't get this set sooner.  These elves are the absolute cutest thing!!  If you look closely you'll even see they have freckles!  The set is called Christmas Elves (Sku#3543).

I love all the different positions that each elf is in.  It makes the possibilities almost endless.  They can sit, lean, hang, sleep on things.  You can get really creative with them.

The set also comes with a verse and the sentiment Merry Christmas.

Here's a close up of the inside of my card so you can read the verse better.

And close ups of a couple of the elves.

More ways to use try-fold stamps

Hello Ai fans!

Today I would like to show you a couple other ways I used the try-fold stamp set Sleepy Santa on my Christmas cards.

On my first card, I used only the Christmas tree stamp.

I also stamped some snowflakes with the Snowflake Cluster stamp with a glue pad and glitter powder, bt I could have done it with Versamark ink and embossing powder. I love this snowflake cluster stamp. It is very versatile and can be used on every Christmas card to add a little something glittery. :)

For the second card, I Stamped the Christmas tree first, and then I masked it and I stamped the chimney. I colored everything with Copic's markers.

Celeste by Judith

Hello Ai Fans!

I love this image of Celeste, she reminds me so much of my Nana.  When I was little we used to visit her every Sunday afternoon.  She would be sitting in her favourite chair, a little 'tipple' in her hand.

LOL, her lounge room decor was a little like this too!

Have a fabulous Friday and Merry Christmas :)

Wine Bottle Tags by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
You're getting an extra post from me today, since we're taking a break from doing challenges until the new year - join us on January 2nd for our first challenge of 2014!
My Christmas cards are finished for the year, but I'm still delivering gifts to a few co-workers, and we have a few holiday parties to attend... so I've made up some wine bottle gift tags to jazz up some hostess gifts:
This one features Hope Angel (Sku#T4179) on a Kraft cardstock base, and I have another one using my go-to image this season, Lighted Snowman set (Sku#UM4349):

I started by cutting a 3"x 9" rectangle, scored it at 3", rounded the top and cut the bottom into a pennant.  A 1 1/2" circle was cut out of the top portion.  I stamped the images onto ovals, and machine stitched them onto cardstock mats:

Here are what they look like flattened:

When I am making Christmas cards & tags, I always stamp several extra images and colour them up.  Then when I need a quick gift, it just takes a few minutes to put a little something special together.  This is my last Ai post until the New Year, so I want to wish all of you a wonderful holiday season and best wishes for a very happy 2014!

The Christmas Witch by Cheryl Valadez

Hello Ai Fans!  Cheryl here!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  No doubt about that!  BUT...even though the air is thick  with Christmas Cheer and joyous melodies beat a familiar tune on your eardrums, the holidays can be stressful.  The list of stress factors is long...invariably there is a shortage of time or money; that perfect gift eludes you; or you realize that you mistakenly left a special someone off your Christmas list, but not before they're standing in front of you thrusting a lovingly wrapped present towards you while you stare blankly at them, empty handed, of course.

All of these scenarios are daunting, but have no fear, the Christmas Witch is here!  Sure, she's not one for shopping, she can't add hours to the day, or money to your bank account, but she CAN make you smile and sometimes that's all it takes to turn the day around :)

Happy Holidays from the Christmas Witch (Witch Wanda)!  Find her in the Art Impressions Shop along with a myriad of other lovely, smile inducing images ;)

Stay crafty!

Christmas Tags by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
Well, it's present wrapping time in the Day household... so I've been making Christmas tags!  I based my designs on an idea I saw on Pinterest, where the designer had stamped her images half off of the tag, and I really like the look.  So I've used three of my favourite Art Impressions Christmas stamps, and this is what I came up with:
I started by cutting out white cardstock tag shapes with my Cricut (they're about 4 1/2").  Then I stamped about 3/4 of each image onto the tag, slightly off center, leaving enough room at the top to write my "To" and "From".

I added some chevron ribbon, and tied them up with some twine and jingle bells.  You can stamp a bunch of these in just a few minutes, and then do some colouring in front of the tv - you'll have a pile of tags in no time :o)
Happy stamping everyone!
