My Weekend Warrior! By Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai Fans!

Today I'm sharing two cards made with one of my very favorite people.

This is the WEEKEND WARRIOR set and it's so much fun to use.

He's part of the Art Impressions Ai Heroes line.

Although I love flowers, flirty and feminine...I just LOVE doing masculine cards.

I love the rich colors and the fun accessories. Aren't the little screw eyelets and metal cool?

I'm proud of myself...I made two New Years resolutions. Keep my craft room more picked up (notice I said MORE picked up...not picked up) I wanted to keep it realistic. I KNOW it will never be clean but I knew I could do better than I was. I also wanted to try to use more of my supplies that I've had lying around forever and wasn't putting to good use. I've had this mesh for almost 10 yrs. I know that because the store I got it from went out of business when my kids were little.

Watercolor The Art Impressions way - Pink tree

Hello Ai fans!!

Today I tried the Tree set because when I saw the image of the little pink tree on the set, I just couldn't resist it! Here's my version of it:

And I love the result!!!!

I inked a part of the tree in sepia and the branches in pink.

I used my pink ink and a brush to make a pink wash for the leaves. When it was dry, I used my brush to add some pink spots. I filled the little white spots with some green little dots. Under the tree I made a small green wash and I stamped grass and some tiny flowers. I added the sentiment by hand with a quill and india ink.

On this card, I started the same way but I used the small flowers stamp to stamp flowers in the tree.

I then added some droplets around the tree. I hope you like my cards and I hope they make you want to try some watercolor series stamps for yourself!! :)

Challenge 134 - "Anything Goes - Masculine" + Ai Heroes Launch

Hello Ai Fans!

Welcome back to week two of our challenge!

We're excited to launch another new line today, our Father's Day Heroes!

These guys are perfect for the man in your life, the guy always helping out and the one taking care of business!!! Our designer, Bonnie Krebs, created these fun guys for the perfect Father's Day, but to also perfect for all year round!
