Art Impressions Design Team Call - September 5 to September 10

Hello Ai Fans! 

We are looking for new members for our design team!

Ready to join our fabulous team?

We are looking for:

• Passionate stampers with a love for Ai designs.
• Great coloring and stamp techniques. Watercolor stamping experience is a plus!
• Fabulous card coordination (eg. color combos, layers, accents).
• Creative and self-motivated designers.
• Friendly folks who love email communication.

Requirements:

• Must have an active blog and be connected with online communities.
• Willing to submit to publications.
• Create a weekly Ai blog post.
• Create 2-3 monthly challenge examples for our card contest.
• Comment on card contest entries.
• Must be willing to post on social media.
• Mail-in monthly cards to Ai.

Benefits:

• $75 monthly coupon to our online store.
• 30% off any additional orders above monthly allowance.
• Additional stamps for promotions and new launches.
• Product swap materials from other companies.

Regulations:

• 6-month minimum requirement.
• All designs use 99% Ai stamps.

Challenge 143 - "Front & Back" Challenge + NEW Mini Front & Back Stamps & DIES!

Hello Ai Fans!

Welcome back to week two of our "Front & Back" challenge! We're excited to launch some brand new products this week as well!

We have FOUR brand new Mini Front & Back sets! We have three perfect for the holidays, plus our adorable Elephant & Pig Mini Set!

Along with our new Mini Front & Back images, we have released our first line of die cuts! We have NINE brand new die sets to match all of our Mini Front & Back stamps! Make sure to check them out and grab a couple to match your previously purchased stamps!

Now for our challenge!

Whether you already own Front & Back stamps or want to use a new technique with your stamps, this challenge is sure to push your creativity! For this challenge, you must have front & back stamped images on the outside and inside of your cards. Whether you use the same stamp, such as a snowflake on both sides, or possibly our Mini Front & Back stamps that are made to be put together, you're sure to have fun with this new challenge! You can also view our Front & Back Tutorial or our Front & Back Pinterest Board for some inspiration.

Birthday Birdie by Sherry Eckblad

Hello Ai Fans, Sherry here today sharing a fun card using one of my favorite animals. 

Meet Birthday Birdie (sku1863)! For those that don't know me I love chickens and roosters and have several kinds in my kitchen and others randomly placed around the house. (these are not real chickens/roosters in case you were wondering)

For this card I pulled out my color pencils and did a quick coloring of the image. Then I created a mask of the image and placed it over the image so I could quickly add some butter bar ink to the stencil. Once that was complete I added some alpha stickers from my stash to create the sentiment and then I placed it on the card using foam dots. I added a touch of glossy accents to the balloon for a little dimension.

Witch Wanda by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!

Yikes!  Here we are in September already... where does the time go?  But I must say that fall is my favourite season - the colours, the baking, the cooler days - I love it all.  So with Halloween just weeks away, I've pulled out the Witch Wanda Set (Sku#4311):

Now I have to say, that before this time last year, I had never made a Halloween card before!?  (We celebrate the occassion, I just don't send cards).  But oh my goodness, I had the best time making them, and fell completely in love with Witch Wanda and the Air Hag stamp set.  It was like getting an injection of mojo... and this year is no different.  I've coloured up a bunch of Wanda's and have several ideas for a few 3D projects, so you'll likely see a bit more Halloween from me!

Here is a closeup of Wanda - she is coloured entirely in "Grey Scale" - I used W9, W7, W5, W3, W1 & W00 Copic markers which are their warm greys - I'd seen the idea on Pinterest, which gives her a bit of a vintage vibe. I really love this look, and plan to do a few more versions of this throughout the fall & holiday season, so stay tuned!
