Happy Wednesday Ai Fans!!!
Watch video tutorial here!!!
In today's video we will be creating our very own Custom Window Garden Card! It's really fun and easy to create...and it is a great way to stretch your stamps and dies.
We will start by die cutting a large rectangle from the Ai Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies (5063) from some white 100lb cardstock. Then we will use a few of the smaller rectangles from this set, as well as, a few square dies from the Ai Square Double Stitched Dies (5061) to create our custom frame openings.
For stamps we will be using the Ai MB Garden Set (5444) ... and these small images will fit perfectly into our little openings. Don't forget to mix and match your stamp sets to create your unique custom windows!!!
Let's use some pretty polka dot paper for the front of the card and a beautiful yellow variegated paper for the inside of our frames. I'll give you some tips for perfectly lining up the frames on the polka dot paper with the frames that you have already cut from your white cardstock.
Now we can stamp and color all of our images! The coloring was done using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Peach Pink, Dk Pink, Lt Violet, Yellow, Bright Yellow, Orange, Scarlet Red, Lt Blue, Cornflour Blue, Turquoise Green, Lt Green, May Green, Gray Brown, Olive Green, Mid Green, Green, Beige, and Mid Brown.
We will add a few little enamel dots to fill in some of the open areas of the windows and then we will add a few flowers to the front of the card using the Ai Birdhouse Cubbies Set (5346)!
Please note......this card could easily be turned into a fun shaker card with a few modifications!!!
This card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge - Fun with Flowers which is linked below. Please feel free to enter a card or project of your own into our challenge or just check out all of the inspiration from your crafty peers!
Thank you so much for joining me today! Have a fun and crafty day!!!
