Art Impressions Blog: Harvest Easel Card w/ No-Line Coloring by Lynn Dionne

Today we will be using two brand new stamp sets from the Ai Watercolor Series called the Harvest Set (5598) and Ai Sentiments Set (5600). These sets are part of the 2022 Fall Release that includes several wonderful Fall and Halloween stamp sets, paper packs and some add-on sets for the Journal Template Series.

I thought it would be fun to have our Harvest Set image look as though it were a painting that the little Ai 2022 Freebie (Dog) was creating. By the way, this little Freebie is available with a $30 purchase and there are several cute little critters to choose from...while supplies last! But this one was perfect because his little paw was reaching out...perfect for holding a paint brush. This little brush is from the Ai Craft Bag and Die Set (5502).

I decided to do some no-line coloring on the "painting" so that it would look a bit more realistic. It is super easy and fun...and I will give you some tips and tricks for this no-line coloring technique. To do this technique we will be using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Pale Orange, Blossom Pink, Bright Yellow, Orange, Mustard, Deep Vermilion, Aquamarine Blue, Smoky Teal, Beige, Mid Brown, Lt Gray, Olive Green, Mid Green.

To set the scene, we will be using some beautiful patterned papers from the Ai Harvest Journal Paper Pack, which is a double-sided (6"x6") paper pack with loads of gorgeous fall colors! We can die cut these using the Ai Rectangle A2 Double-Stitched Die Set (5063).

To create the little easel we will be using the Lawn Fawn Canvas and Easel Die Set. This set will give us both the easel and the little stool for our cute puppy to stand on ... and we will be die cutting this from the brand new Tim Holtz Distress Gray Two-Tone Woodgrain Cardstock.

As a finishing touch, we can add some pretty Metallic Pearls in a matte gold color!
