Art Impressions Blog: Baby Girl Card w/ Layered Dots Background by Lynn Dionne

I've got a sweet little girl baby card to show you today! The images we will be using are from the Ai Baby Girl Set (5185) and include the cute baby girl, rattle, pull toy and several fun coordinating sentiments!

Let's stamp and color our images using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Pale Rose, Flesh Colour, Yellow, Pale Green, Lt Green, Beige, Mid Brown, Lt Gray.

Next, we can create this unique and adorable background using the Tim Holtz Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits - Layered Dots Die Set. This set is from the Tim Holtz Halloween collection, and we are going to make it look completely different today. I love looking through my dies and stamps and using them in a fun and new way!

For papers we will use a few different paper packs including the Ai Mini Paper Pack (5835) and the Ai Easter Paper Pack (5742). We will keep the background fairly muted by using a kraft cardstock base and layers of white, pink/white polka dots, and beige/white polka dots.

After we die cut the background layers, we can easily glue them together and attach them to the card base.

Let's also add a pink/white gingham strip onto the background and also add a few rick-rack borders in white from the Ai Journal Template Die Set (5543). We will use this same set to die cut a scallop circle and a small circle to fit inside the scallop circle. This smaller circle is from the Ai Nested Circle Dies (5726) and will be for our sentiment.

Let's stamp and emboss the sentiment with a pretty Blush Pearl color. We can layer up the sentiment with some foam squares for added dimension.

Now we can assemble the card and for a finishing touch we can add some beautiful pink opalescent sequins. This will give the card a bit of shimmer and sparkle. We can also add a touch of glitter using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen!
