Let's have some fun today and combine several of our Art Impressions stamp sets to create a cute Autumn card! We will combine the brand-new Ai Santa's Workshop Set (5930), Ai Woodland Tree Cubbies Set (5100), Ai Spooky Wagon Set (5456), and the Ai Foxes Set (5951). As you can see, we will be combining Christmas, Halloween and Fall sets together to create this special card!
It's fun to look through your sets and see what you can combine together for a unique look on your cards. You can be sure that no one else will create a card just like yours and it's a great way to get more out of the sets you may already have. Sometimes just adding one new set (like these cute little elves) to your collection can give you many more possibilities for your cards and projects.
We will be using the Christmas elves, the woodland tree cubbies, the pumpkins and leaves! To get started let's stamp, color and die cut all our images from the various sets. We will be coloring them using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Dk Blossom Pink, Scarlet Red, Yellow, Flesh Colour, Mustard, Sand, Beige, May Green, Green, Olive Green, Persian Green, Smoky Teal, Dull Blue, Aquamarine Blue, Mid Brown, Dk Gray, Lt Gray, Red Grape, Deep Red Grape.
Next, we will create a simple, yet gorgeous sky using some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and the Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Pads in Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers, and the grass using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. We will do an ink "smooshing" technique which is where you apply the ink to your glass media mat and then you will "smoosh" the colors onto the mat and spritzing them with a bit of water and then lay your paper over top of this ink. The results are amazing, and it really is quite easy. It will give us the perfect cloudy sky and green grass. I'll show you this in today's video!
Our square card will measure 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and will be made from some heavy weight kraft cardstock. Next, let's attach our 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" sky and grass to the card.
Finally, we can go ahead and assemble the card by adding the leaves to the tree, the little elves in the doors and windows, and the little pumpkins. For the sign post we will mask off the word "Boooo!" and add the word "Autumn" instead. I'll show you how to do this in the video as well.
