OWH World Card Making Day Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Art Impressions!

Happy World Card Making Day!

We're excited you're hopping along with Operation Write Home! We LOVE the OWH team and we have such a fun time partnering with them! To head back to the beginning, go to the OWH Stars and Stamps blog.

One of our cards today will feature an Art Impressions OWH benefit set. We have two benefit sets with 25% of proceeds going to OWH. If you haven't gotten your hands on them yet, you can find them at the links below! We also have a free stamp with any $30, check yesterday's post for details.

Today, I've (Kate - DT Coordinator) created a card to share with you! I normally leave all the beautiful designing to my DT, but I had the chance so you're stuck with me today!

I have a huge disclaimer though. This amazing image was colored by none other than Sandy Allnock herself! She colored almost 50 of these beautiful images for our Make and Give at the Summer CHA trade show and I was lucky enough to head home with a couple of them!

The sketch used for this card is a slightly modified #29. The image and sentiment are from the Ai Every Hat Set. For the sentiment, I masked the "I love you" section and then stamped twice to get the text in a line. I created a cut file for the "Thanks" to have it fit the blog hop theme.

Here's a better image of the "Thanks." And as a THANKS to all of you hopping with OWH, we're giving this cut file to you for free! You can email kate@artimpressions to have the SVG file sent to you (on Monday) or you can outline the PNG below on your Silhouette Studio software so you can create this card too!

Supplies Used

We also have a card from our DT member, Piali Biswas!

Piali used Sketch #90 with the Ai Out to Lunch Set. Thanks Piali!

Now for the

GIVEAWAY!

We will be giving away THREE prize packs!
Each will have our two Operation Write Home benefit sets!
But we really want to hear from you so ...

Leave a comment of what your favorite cut files
(or die cuts if you don't have an electric die cutting machine)
or what your dream cuts would be!

They can be ...
Stamped Image Outlines

Print & Cut (Silhouette Files)

Just write your thoughts below and enter to win! Thanks for coming by!

Hello there!

Hello and happy Monday to you!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend and joined us with the Ai & OWH blog hop and checked out the new OWH stamp sets.   If not, you can see it  HERE!

I did a little bit of paper piecing.  First, I stamped out Lovelle on couch and adhered her with foam dots. Then I stamp her again and paper pieced her over the first Lovelle.  I colored the image with Copic markers and I created a picture frame for the sentiment.

I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by!

Art Impressions & OWH Bloghop - New Stamp Release

Welcome to Art Impressions! We are excited to reveal our two new Operation Write Home (OWH) stamp sets and we're kicking off the launch with an amazing bloghop!

For the last couple months, we have been working closely with Sandy Allnock (president and founder of OWH) to bring this dream to a reality. Operation Write Home is a non-profit organization that (with the help of many volunteer cardmakers) creates blank, handmade cards to send overseas to troops, giving them an opportunity to send something special home to their loved ones. We truly believe in the Operation Write Home cause, as many Ai employees currently have family and friends serving overseas. We are beyond thrilled to bring you these two new sets, designed to create cards for OWH, but also to benefit them with 25% of the proceeds from artimpressions.com donated to their cause!

Time for the big reveal!

Drumroll please ...

OWH Every Hat set (UM4343)
When creating for OWH, we wanted heartfelt sets that reflected the day-to-day. Our Every Hat set was for the women taking care of it all, a heartfelt thank you for doing the job of two. We love our lady wearing all the hats!

OWH Sending Love set (UM4343)
With our Sending Love set, we thought of how wonderful it is for families and friends to hear from one another, and even more than ever before with the use of technology. Whether it is by letter, email, phone or possibly a video chat, love knows no distance! We hope so much love is sent home with this stamp set!

We hope you've enjoyed our big reveal! You can purchase these stamps online here and they will be available soon at local retailers near you!

Here's how it works:

  • Visit each blog by clicking through the designers and organizations listed below. Each blog will also have a link to the next for easy hopping!
  • Comment on each blog you visit to show some love to those participating! We will also be giving away a $50 prize pack of Art Impressions products. To enter, comment on every blog listed, the more you post, the more chances to win! The winner will be announced on Monday at 3:00 p.m. PST
To start off the hop, we have a card set designed by one of our own DTs, Piali Biswas. She used the OWH Every Hat set. We love the clean and simple look with these amazing vibrant colors!

Thanks again to the designers participating in the hop. We would also like to thank Crafter's Home for helping get the sets into the independent retail stores near you! Make sure to check out the list of stores soon to be carrying the OWH sets on their blog!

Happy Hopping!
