Hello Ai Fans!

Are you ready for Spring?  I know I am!   I love the colors of spring time and I think my card here reflects that!  I've used one of Ai's PopCard stamps called Floral Birdhouse PopCard.

I stamped the images onto Neenah Solar White 80# card stock in a Copic safe ink.  My Copic colors are listed below.  Once everything was colored, I used the dies that come with the set to die cut the images.  I then followed the directions on the back of the packaging to assemble the birdhouse and birds.  You will need the Ai PopCard Template die that is sold separately.   There is also a video, HERE, on Ai's YouTube channel that was very helpful to me, being such a visual learner!

I used a standard A2 scored card base and made the slit, per the directions, to create a popped out section.  Since I didn't want the slits showing on my card front I used some wood-grained paper to attach to the front.  The main thing is to NOT add adhesive to the area over the pop up part.  (I apologize for not having a photo to show this process--I think I was just super focused and forgot! Haha!)  I used one of the Oval Double Stitched dies to cut the opening in the card front to get a peek at the fun inside.  

I wish this photo could show you how fun it is to open the card and see the beautiful dimension here!

You can see in this next photo how the PopCard Template piece even pops up the bird's wing when the card is open.  So sweet!



The bees and butterflies are also part of this set.  I added a little smile to the bee's faces with a black pen.



I colored a piece of card stock with a matching Copic and stamped the sentiment from the set onto it with black ink.  I hand cut it and placed the extra rose on the label.

Art Impressions Pop Ups !

Hello AI Fans!!!

So how many of you have tried the AI Pop Ups?? This was my first time and I LOVE them!! If you need to put together a card very quickly, and still want it to look amazing and have the AI fun, then Pop Ups are the way to go! Oh my gosh, I can't believe how easy this was! They even number them for you so you can't make any mistakes! Grab a set of these today to keep on hand for when you're in a hurry and still want to wow them with your craftiness!! I just created a simple mat, machine stitched around it (cause I felt a little guilty that the card was just so easy!!) and added a simple bow. That was it, and this card was done! I used AI Deco Set 3, and it will make FOUR amazing, very dimensional cards!

Waste not, wine not by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!! 

I know you've been seeing a lot of these Pop-Ups sets lately and if you're like me then you LOVE them too!  Don't worry, they'll be available soon!

I love all of the Ai Girlfriends but I especially love the wine drinking crew.

I love this verse...Wine flies when you're having fun!

Here's what the inside of my card looks like.

Now for the waste not portion of my post.  You get enough in your Deco card kits to make several cards but if you're an environmental person like me you try to make the most of everything you have.  I hate to throw away anything that can be re-used or re-purposed.  Did you notice how cute the packaging (spec sheet) that comes with your Pop-Ups set is?  Cause...I did.  Why on earth would you throw away or even recycle this??  It's like getting a free bonus with your purchase.  I decided to cut it up and use it to make yet another card from the set.  Here's the step by step instructions and I'll show you how I even save on paper when I'm mounting layers.

Whenever possible I cut out the center portion of the paper and save it for future projects.

Look...you only need a small portion of the blue color to matte the printed paper...why waste and entire sheet?

Then, I have the blue portion I cut out to use on my card front.  Also...did you notice...the image is from the packaging.  It's like a little bonus when you order your Pop-Up set.  It's just as cute as the die cut images in the set.

I cut up more of the packaging (and used more of the salvaged blue paper) on the inside of my card.

I hope you've been inspired by my not wanting to waste anything that can be used.  It's better for our Earth and...for your wallet!

Deco Set by Kerry

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today, I'm sharing two cards featuring the Ai Deco set #1.  It's a super fun and easy to assemble.  And no coloring is required.  Don't take me wrong, I love to color...  but I just love the fact that I can punch out the die-cut and adhere each layer with some foam dots, added some embellishments.

Viola, I'm done!

The set included two designs:  'At the Movies' and 'Beauty in Progress'.
