Show us what you've made Mercy...

Hello Crafty Friends....Happy Christmas in July once again, this is Mercy with a new challenge, Summer Fun!

In today’s cards I used a very unique and fun set 4788, Tropical Christmas Set.

I created a tag on a card, it’s a great way to make a unique card. Simply create the tag and decorate as desired and then adhere to a card base. Pretty simple!

The second card is a slimline style card using the same set. The inspiration of the card is the same, Santa at the beach, with a few changes.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and continue sharing your unique cards

Take care!

Thank you Mercy!  Your cards are so fun and festive.  Just perfect!

Yesterday Bonnie began her WC Christmas Journal series of tutorial videos.
Though her journal tutorial is geared towards WC artists it can easily be made with Art Impressions
regular stamps and markers or colored pencils.  We know Janet is planning a Christmas Journal
using Copic markers and Reneé  will be making one for a baby boy's first year.  You can find
the Journal dies HERE and hope you'll be inspired to create your own.

You can see photos from Bonnie's tutorial and link to her video HERE.

Enjoy your day and happy stamping!

Joyful Christmas in July by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a Christmas in July card with you. I got it in just under the wire, huh!

I've used images or verses from 3 sets on my card.

4788 – Tropical Christmas Set
4937 – Santa Paws Set
5136 – WC Sentiment Set 2

This card came about thanks to a FB post from a teacher friend.
She is planning to use postcards to teach her kids about geography this year. She asked for anyone traveling to send her class a postcard from wherever they are.
I asked her if the North Pole counted...lol!

I made a normal card with the same layout after making the postcard which you can see below.  This is the inside of the regular card.

This is the postcard that I made for her class.

Here's the back of it with a little message that Santa sent to the kids.

Here Comes Santa Claws! by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I've been hard at work making Christmas cards for a few weeks now.  I always make simpler cards for some people that I know don't understand how much time goes into making a card.  I designed this card with those people in mind.  I used the Christmas Wreath Set 4791 and colored it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I chose this set for my cards this year because it comes with matching dies.  I was able to make tons of cards all at one time. I added a sentiment and was finished with it.  They came out very beautiful!

But of course, I couldn't leave it there!  I got out my Tropical Christmas Set 4788 and stamped out the flip flop images. I also changed up the sentiment & added it to a flag that I made with a few folds and extra cuts.  I glued on some gems and I made several of these for people that I figured would appreciate them more. I just couldn't stop there for today's post!

I made a pop up card with the rest of the images from the Tropical stamp set.  Because I live in Florida, I felt compelled to own this stamp set.  It's just so cute.  I used a retired pop up Sizzix die, but you could use any type of pop up base.  I colored all of these images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and cut them out.  I followed the packaging for most of my coloring just to make things easier on myself.

Here are the star's of the card.  I love how they came out. I used very little water and blended the Zig's with each other. They are all stamped onto Strathmore Bristol paper with Jet Black Archival Ink.

Here are the colors of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers that I used:
Face - Flesh Color 071, Beige 072, Light carmine 021
Green - Deep Green 044, Pale Green 045
Red - Wine Red 024, Red 020
Blue - Cobalt Blue 031, Shadow Mauve 302
Gray - Mid Gray 096, Light Gray

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!
