Hello Ai Fans!
Today is a VERY special day, as we have asked our current and 'veteran' design team members to join in a Reunion Blog Hop, celebrating our new release! We also have a new challenge at the bottom of this post!

This is the first stop for our hop, so if you made it here from one of the designer's blogs, welcome!

Our wonderful friends are joining us to showcase our NEW Ai Spinners! This line was SO popular when we debuted the idea in January at CHA (the Craft & Hobby Association Trade Show) that we added SEVEN new stamps & coordinating dies for the Holidays!

Now, let's get you hopping! We are so thankful for all the amazing designers we've had over the years. These ladies are not only fabulous creators, but also a joy to work with! We appreciate each and every one joining us for this special hop and celebrating the launch with us!

And our new challenge...
This week, we want you to join in the fun and create a spinning card! You can use any of our Spinners stamps, but you could also use decorative punches or die cuts!

Today, we have Dana to show us how to make a fun spinning card with our newest Ai Spinners!

Hi Ai fans!! Dana here with a tutorial featuring the NEW Mouse Spinner and matching die!

I started by stamping the front and back on white card stock and then again on some pattern paper. Then I used the matching dies to cut out the image from the white cardstock. I fuss cut out the ornaments from the pattern paper.

Next, I colored the mice with my Spectrum Noir markers and adhered the pattern paper ornaments.

Next, adhered the front and back together. There are several different ways to do this, for me I want easy!!! So I have full double-sided adhesive sheets that I die cut the front and back (if you don't have the die, you can adhere the image to the sheet and fussy cut around).  I peeled back one side of the adhesive sheet and added it to the matching image.

I use white floss (any string or twine will work), after peeling the backing add it to the sticky side of the image. Then just peel off the backing from the other image and pressed it together with the floss in between!

Next I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a strip of red card stock.

For an opening, I am using an oval die, placing my pattern paper face up on my die cutting machine, then an OPEN white card base, then my die. I cut my pattern paper a bit bigger then my card base. When it's time to add the pattern paper, all I have to worry about is lining up the oval, then I just trim off the extra along all four sides. No measuring and coming up short!!

On the front of my card with the cut oval, I added double-sided tape around the edge, then pulling my spinner taunt press it into the tape at the top and bottom. I added the spinner close to the top (TIP: I always make sure that my spinner will spin ok before i move on, nothing like getting done and your spinner can't spin!!!), because added the sentiment strip at the bottom of my oval. Next I added a little bit of glue at the floss and along the edges that the double tape dosen't cover.

To place the patterned paper over the white card base, just line up the oval!! Then you trim off the extra pattern paper around each side and the extra red strip.

To help the spinner stand out, I added colored card stock to the inside of my card base, in this case a nice dark green!

Last, I added some fancy green embellishments on either side of the sentiment to help draw the eye down to the sentiment!

Thanks for sticking through this tutorial!! (A little long I know!!) I hope showing my process and a tip along the way helps you complete your spinner card that much easier!! These are really super fun and unique cards that anyone would be happy to receive!!

Thanks for the great tutorial, Dana! It's sure to give some inspiration! Now it's your time to shine, what creative spinner card can you create? We'd love to see it, so join in our challenge!
