Guest Designer - Piali Biswas

Hello Ai Fans!!!

We're heading into the U.S. holidays and we're taking a challenge break to give our designers some special time to enjoy Thanksgiving! It's just a week away now!

Starting tomorrow, we have a fun product swap with Scrapbook Adhesives! This next week until the 26th, we'll be featuring their fun products right along with your daily dose of Ai inspiration!

We're kicking off a day early with our guest designer, Piali Biswas! Piali is always such an inspiration and our team gets so excited when her fun cards land on our doorstep!

Hello Ai Fans! It's me, Piali here. I'm super excited to be back on Ai Blog as a guest designer!!!

Today, I have used some of the fantastic Scrapbook Adhesive products and fabulous Ai New Release holiday stamps for two fun projects.

First one is a Shaker card.

Cute... isn't it??
Here is the inside...

Now here are the step-by-step instructions for this card...
I love making shaker cards but at times creating circle shaker window is a bit tdious job.
I have a special trick for this one...

Here are the supplies I used...

Step 1.
I used craft foam. Cut the craft foam slightly smaller than the cardfront.
Apply Scrapbook Adhesive sheets on both the sides. Keep the liner on.
It would look like this.

Step-2:
Use any circle die to diecut a window on the foam with adhesive.
SAVE the circle diecut for a fun project (I will show it next).

Step-3:
Cut the cardfront panel and diecut a window with the circle die.
Do the same with the cardbase... so now we have three pieces.
1. Cardfront with a window, 2. foam panel with window , 3. a cardbase with a window.
All the windows are cut using the same die.

Step-4:
Stamp a sentiment below the window on the cardfront.
I used the sentiment from Ai-Christmas to All Set (Sku#4517).
Now cut a narrow strip of the adhesive sheet and adhere below the sentiment, apply glitter on it as shown in the photo...

This will create a beautiful glitter border.

Step-5:
The fun one...yay!!!
Apply the Scrapbook Adhesive tape runner and adhere two piece of acetate.
One to back of the cardfront and other to the front of the cardbase.
Then adhere the Foam window panel of Step 2 to the cardbase.
Add sequins and glitter shaker card filler.
Then adhere the cardfront panel on to it.

Your Shaker card is READY!!!!
No spilling of the shaker filler, the Scrapbook Adhesive sheets make it super easy!!!

Now, stamp the Santa image from Ai-Santa & Mrs. Set (Sku#4506), color it . I used Copics.
Then diecut the images with Ai-Santa & Mrs. Mini Dies (Sku#4541).
Adhere the images on the shaker window with Scrapbook Adhesive foam squares.

I also stamped the fun Snowflake background using small dots from Ai-Christmas to All Set (Sku#4517) and snowflake image from Ai-Warm Your Heart Set (Sku#4519)

Now my next project is with the leftover foam circle diecut which already have the adhesive sheet on it.
I used it to make a fun ornament...which can be used as a tag too.

Its super easy to make.
Peel off the adhesive lining paper and apply glitter all over it.
I used a snowflake diecut.
Then I colored and trimmed the Super cute Penguin image from Ai-Warm Your Heart Set (Sku#4519) and adhered it to the ornament base using Scrapbook Adhesive Foam squares.
Just a tie some twine and you have a super sparkly ornament tag!!!

Hope you liked these projects.
