Beach-y Birthday Card by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Fans!

I'm back with another fun summery birthday card!  Have you ever made one of Art Impressions' Tryfold Cards?  This was my first, and I have to say it was very easy to do!  Here is the card with the sides all folded in:

When you get a Tryfold Set, there are easy-to-follow instructions on the back.  I scored the card and stamped the images where instructed.  I used my MISTI and the free printable grid, from the MISTI website, to help me be sure I had each stamp where it needed to be.  Now here's where you can learn from my goof.  The fourth photo below shows where my alcohol markers bled through, which shows when you open the card!!  Had I thought about that, I would have adhered the yellow paper first, before cutting the two sides, as instructed!  Or colored with another medium that wouldn't bleed through!  I ended up tracing my cut lines onto the yellow paper, then cutting, and and it all worked out just fine!

Here is what the card looks like as it is unfolded.

I decided to layer and add the Tryfold card onto an A2 card.  So it's kind of like two cards in one!  I stamped the beach chair in a neutral ink to decorate the inside of the card.

If you haven't given the Tryfold Sets a try, I hope this will get you going!  They are fun and a different card style that is sure to please!  Have an awesome week!
