Born to Ride set | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!
It's Jessica here again! This week I thought I would play around with one of the other stamp sets from  the Rustic/ Americana category. Which is also the theme for the new challenge, Rustic Roundup. If didn't see my feature just head on over to the current challenge page! For my card today I chose the Born to Ride set.

I also paired this awesome guy with the WC Mountains set. I was inspired to create a scene that reminded me of Arches National Park, in Utah. Plus the biker totally looks like my Father in law, red bike and everything. I might have to give this one to him!

On Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock I stamped the biker guy with Amalgam ink. Then colored in with Copic markers. I'll have the list of colors I used down below. I took some inspiration from the packaging specifically the American flag, tomorrow (Saturday) is Independence Day for us Americans so it seemed very fitting!

The background I used the plateau mountain stamps. These are part of the watercolor line but they work great with Copic markers. I used the same black in that I stamped the biker with. Then colored in my scene. It took some work to color everything in and for a moment I definitely wasn't sure if this was going to be shown anywhere except possibly the trash bin!

Besides squiggles for the bushes I also used a older discontinued stamp set from Art Impressions. It has a toolbox that has a few foliage stamps with it on wooden blocks! I used one of the larger leafy stamps to add some texture using a black ink but stamping off first so I stamped a lighter impression.

Once the scene was colored I used the largest Oval Double Stitch die to die cut it. Taking the Neenah Solar White 110lb card base I used a light gray ink and added the tire track stamp in several places. I also used that same stamp on the piece of light gray card stock then stamped the sentiment over top and cut it out with the smallest Rectangle Double Stitch die.

Alright that is it from me today! Thank you so much for joining me today. I'll see you next week for one more Rustic/ Americana inspiration! Have a safe and happy weekend.
