In today's card we will be creating a fun "Center Flap" card! In the video I will be giving you all of the dimensions to create this unique fun flap card.
For our focal image we will be using this cute little squirrel from the Ai Nuts About You Stamp Set (4885). We will be stamping and coloring in this little critter using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Lt Carmine, Deep Vermilion, Lt Gray, Oatmeal, Beige, Mid Brown, Dk Brown. We can also stamp and color some little acorns to adorn our card!
We will be using a pretty striped patterned paper and we will also be using some Guava and Paper Bag 100lb weight cardstocks for the card base and some layering.
To create the beautiful scalloped frame for our image we will be using the Ai Journal Rectangle Dies. Now we will die cut this several times and layer these together to give us a nice thick frame!
Next, to create the pretty scallop borders we will be using the Ai Journal Pocket Set Dies. I'll show you how to extend this die in order to create a longer border. This is a great technique for extending the use of your small border dies!
Again, I will show you how to easily cut your cardstock in order to create this flap design. Now let's add all of our layers and images. We can stamp our sentiments and heart banner from the same stamp set.
Finally, we can add some pretty pink sequins for added sparkle and shine!
