Creative Use of Your Dies...Making Snowflake Ornaments by Lynn Dionne

 Happy Wednesday Ai Fans!!!

Watch video tutorial here!!!

In today's card we will be using some basic supplies that you probably already have in your stash! We will be creating some beautiful Christmas ornaments and decorate them with some pretty ribbons and bows! This card was inspired by the current Ai Blog Challenge called "All Wrapped Up".

Let's get started by die cutting some glittery snowflakes using the Ai Large Snowflake Dies (5353) and some circles using the Ai Nested Circle Dies (5726). We will be adding these snowflakes to the center of the circles to create our very own custom ornaments!

This card will also allow us to use up some of our paper scraps and today we will be using the Ai Valentines Paper Pack (5741) in some pretty red and white patterns.

To set the scene for these beautiful ornaments we will use a the Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder - Scenic Poinsettias. Let's also ink around the edges of this card panel using the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad in Lumberjack Plaid.

We will layer up the ornaments for lots of dimension and interest. Let's add some sheer red ribbon to these ornaments and a pretty bow at the top of each and pop them up on our card.

Next we can grab the Ai Christmas Sentiments Set (5566) to add the "Merry and Bright" sentiment. We will stamp the sentiment onto black cardstock and emboss with some detail white embossing powder. This black and white sentiment will really make the sentiment pop against the red and white papers!

Finally we will add a pretty red heart to the center of each of our ornaments for a bit of sparkle!

Please join us in this fun challenge by posting your creations.to the Ai Blog...we would love to see what you create!!!

Thank you so much for joining me today!  Have a fun and crafty day!!!
