Today let's create a pretty and elegant Christmas card using the brand-new Ai WC Poinsettia Set (5828). We will be using the three sizes of the poinsettia images to create some very dimensional flowers. I also want to show you how you can easily use your dies to emboss your cards. This technique can be used with any of your dies!
Let's begin by stamping the poinsettias onto some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and then we can color them using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens in the following colors: Blender, Sugared Almond Pink, Wine Red.
Using our detail scissors, we can cut these out and then we can add some dimension using a sculpting mat and tools. Now we can layer these flowers. For the larger flower we will use all three sizes and for the smaller ones we will layer the medium and small flowers.
Let's add a gold center to each flower using the Pearls in gold!
We can also die cut some greenery and berries using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits - Merry & Bright set. By adding more of the Pearls in White we can give these berries a touch of elegance! And to the sprigs we can add some pretty Rock Candy glitter!
Let's die cut the snowflake frame from the Ai Snowflake Frame Set (5782). We will layer this frame onto some vellum paper and a pretty snowflake paper from the Ai Christmas S2 Paper Pack (5812). We can also stamp the word "magic" onto to the vellum paper using the Ai Christmas Sentiments Set (5566).
The beautiful "Christmas" die cut sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits - Vault Series: Christmas 2021. We will die cut this from some pretty gold sparkle cardstock.
I'd like to show you a really fun and easy technique today. This technique will allow you to do some beautiful embossing using your dies! This is a great way to get more use from you dies! I'll show you exactly how to do this in today's video! I'll be using the Spellbinders Platinum 6 Die Cutting machine but, you should use the instructions for your specific machine.
Let's do a quick assembly of all of these wonderful elements! You could totally change this card by changing the color of the poinsettias and greenery.
