Hello AI Friends!
Welcome back for another Watercolor Weekend!
The new release is here, and this week I’m taking you to the country with a collection of farm animals and a little watercolor fun. I used the Story Tile Die to bring all the different images together into one card. I love how this die lets you create a little scene in each tile while keeping everything connected in one layout.
I started by cutting a piece of Canson Watercolor Paper using the Story Tile Die. I left the tiles in the frame and placed it in my stamping platform. Then I arranged my stamps and masked off the sections I didn’t want to stamp, working on one tile at a time using Distress Ink Lost Shadow.
Next, I began coloring each of the animals with my Tombow markers. I used different color combinations for the goat, cow, pig, rooster, and hens to bring each one to life. The Tombow colors I used for each animal are listed below.
Once the coloring was complete, I added a branch, foliage, and flowers to fill in the goat scene.
To finish the card, I added a sentiment from the Harvest Sentiments Set and layered the panel onto patterned paper from the Country Barn PP collection.

For my second card, I used the new Happy Halloween Set that was designed for the Story Tile Die to create a fun Halloween scene. I started by cutting a piece of watercolor paper using the Story Tile Die and left the tiles in the frame to make stamping each section easier.
I arranged my stamps in the individual tiles and stamped the images using Distress Ink Lost Shadow. Then I colored each scene using the Tombow markers listed below.
For the background, I used 603, 636, and 569 to create the sky and added Distress Ink Black Soot around the edges for a darker, spooky look. I used a black Pitt Artist Pen to add details where needed and TwinTone Brown for additional definition.
To finish the card, I cut a frame from the Halloween S3 PP and layered it over the watercolor frame. I then glued the colored tiles back into place to complete the Halloween design.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s projects, from the farm animals and harvest scenes to the spooky Halloween fun. The Story Tile Die offers so many ways to bring different images together and create something unique. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you again next time!
