Hello Ai friends and happy Thursday!

 

Today I am sharing a card using one of the hilarious Girlfriends sets.  This one is called Out to Lunch Set (3576) .  I have used the sentiments several times since they coordinate with so many Ai images but this time I colored up these sweet ladies as well!

 

I started with a pre-printed card base and added my panel with a paper doily torn and ruffled along the bottom.  Some pearls were added for a simple accent.

 

The first lady has some rose-colored glasses but the pink color doesn't show well in the pic.  I may go back and darken the lens a bit.  One of my favorite mugs is a green polka-dotted one hence the coloring on her cup.  ;)

Out To Lunch!

Hi Ai Fans!

I've been wanting to use this stamp for a while now and finally got it off my "list" and into a card to share with you! This stamp set is called "Out To Lunch". I just love that sentiment! The set comes with the image and 3 sentiments.

For this card I used papers from the Echo Park Petticoats 6x6 collection. I thought the Teapots went perfect with this image. I inked all the edges of the papers with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to add some dimension. For some reason I saw the "green ladies" hand as a glove, after all she looks so dignified and out for afternoon tea!

Matching papers on the inside and the sentiment is called "Always Be Friends".

Today I am sharing some cards using the Ai Crown Set (4370) .  My sentiment is from Out To Lunch (3576) .  Two fun sets!

 

You will notice that my backgrounds are mixed up on my two cards.  Instead of cutting extra papers for layers, I die cut the smaller panels from inside the bigger ones.  Then I switched the smaller panels and inlaid them in place.

This gal is fun & easy to color!  I colored her skirt and fur trim a cream color to match my card but she looks great with them left white as shown on the package.  Her clothing is also super easy to paper piece (one of my fave techniques)!

birthday florals by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Thursday!

Today I am sharing a card using the Watercolor Flower Set (4052) but this time I am not using watercoloring or pairing them with other watercolor sets.  These florals are also pretty just stamped on their own!  My sentiment is from Out To Lunch (3576) .

The flowers were each stamped in a light turquoise-ish ink on pre-punched circles.  Then I stamped them again, offset, in black ink and sponged the edges.

I can see getting a variety of uses from these florals!  Have you checked out the weekly Ai water coloring videos?  I'm sure you will get lots of inspiration.
