Produce Stand MTF by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends! Wishing you a happy and safe Memorial Day!
Today I am sharing a card I made using one of the Ai Mini Try-folds sets. Here I used 4970- Produce Stand MTF. Are you having a picnic or get-together today with family and friends? Today's card is all about those yummy fruits we will surely be eating!
I love how you can peek through each layer of the tryfold cards and see the images inside. Here you get a little peek of a cute critter having a sweet summertime snack.  My card base is 4 1/4 x 11. Each end is scored @ 3 5/8".

The front awning, die cut, closed...

...and open...

The second image is a cute window with more fruit.

The inside sentiment and raccoon...

What a sweet set!

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

wish big little piggy by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing another card I made using one of the new Flutters sets! Here I used 4975- Pig Flutter Set to create a fun, interactive card.

I thought about putting my pig up in the air and the farm scene down low but I didn't want my pull tab hanging over the scene so I switched it around. This little piggy is on the ground, making a big wish that he will take flight! lol.

When you pull the tab, his wings move up & down! So fun! I used Mini White Brads (a few are included in the set to get you started) to attach the wings and colored them with a Copic marker to make them pink. Instead of coloring the whole pig, I stamped him onto pink cardstock. Then I colored his hooves, snout, ears and cheeks.

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

a 300 yard drive by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card I made using one of the Ai Work and Play sets. Here I used 4902- Par-Tee Golfers Set.

I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about golf and I'm terrible at estimating distance, but I'm pretty sure a 300-yard drive would be pretty impressive! lol. This guy is sure having fun with his 300-yard drive!

Lighthouse Circlet MTF by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing another card I made using one of the Ai Circlet MTF sets. Here I used the 4979- Lighthouse Circlet MTF set. Last month I shared 3 different ways that I used the new Circlets sets and here’s the last card design I made.

This one is sort-of a card inside of a card! From the front, once again you peek through the layers for a glimpse of the inside.

The first circle has the fence image. My blue card base is 5 1/2 x 6 1/2. The 6 1/2" side is scored at 2 1/4. I die cut an extra circle for the inside to give it a nice finish. When the front flap is opened, the lighthouse shows.

My white card insert is 5 1/4 x 8, scored @ 4". When this one is opened, you see the little boat.
My patterned paper layers are 2 x 5 1/4 (front), 3/4 x 5 1/4 (middle), and 3 3/4 x 5 (inside back).

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Let the shenanigans begin! by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card using one of the Ai Store Exclusive sets. Here I used the SC0795- Road Trip set which can be found at Michael's stores or in the Ai store online. When I first saw the 5006- Sham-rock Set, I not only loved the St. Patrick's images but I knew I could get double duty with the set by pairing this awesome sentiment with the Girlfriends sets! Who doesn't love a road trip with your besties? Let the shenanigans begin!

I thought this new "Impossible Card" style would be perfect for these four Girlfriends piled in a convertible to pop them upright! How fun! I previously made an A2 size card in this style but wanted the pop-up panel to be slightly larger here to fit the image so this card is 6x6.

For my "inside" sentiment which I placed behind the pop-up, I used another Michael's exclusive set, SC0678- Got Style. I also added a punched heart and the streetlight fit nicely on the right.

I made 2 versions of this by switching the two patterned papers. I don't know which I like better. These are definitely some of my fave cards I made...hope you enjoy them too!

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Cabin Circlet MTF by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Tuesday! I am posting on Tuesday this week instead of Monday and today I have a masculine card to share using one of the new Ai Circlet MTF sets. Here I used the 4981- Cabin Circlet MTF set. I have already shared 2 ways that I used the new Circlets and here's the third card I made. I’ll share one more style later!

I wouldn't normally make a circle shaped card for a masculine card, but by incorporating some masculine papers and cross-stitched dies, I think it works. First, I stamped and colored each image. The first two were not fully colored where the matching dies will cut them.

Next, each image was die cut with circle dies and the inside of the first two were die cut with the dies included in the set. Then 3 blue layers were die cut. They are not attached yet here.

Some patterned paper layers were added to the first two and then the circle images were adhered. The matching dies were laid back inside the images and held in place with low-tack tape. These were run through the machine again to cut a window through the first two blue layers.

Now each layer is ready to be assembled. (I decided to add some paper scraps and die cut holes on that first one!)

Using my Scor-Pal, I scored a half inch line at the top of the SECOND and THIRD circles. I didn't want the top of my card to have score marks, for a nice finished look. Then I adhered the layers together using Scor-Tape on those top 1/2" scored areas.

I love how you can peek through from the top circle to the back one!

This circle card opens sort-of like a book.

Great masculine images!

Have a great Tuesday and… happy stamping!

Cottage Circlet Set by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card using one of the new Ai Circlet MTF sets. Here I used the 4982- Cottage Circlet MTF set. On Thursday, in the challenge post I shared one way I used the new MTF sets. Here I will share another card style. Keep checking back to see the other 2 card styles I made.

For this card, I pulled out some circle dies and used them on each of my three layers. I diecut my images and also patterned papers to layer on the white diecut bases. The first two layers (the fence and cottage) also have a portion of the images cut out with matching dies that are included in the set. When layered, you can peek through each layer to the next image!

I used two Ai mini white brads to attach my circle layers together and placed them on opposite sides so you see each one when they are turned to open. Here's the first, top layer, turned to open.

When you also turn the second layer, you see all three.

Here's a few close ups.

Such sweet images!

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Today we have a fabulous tutorial by Diane for an inventive way to use these new circular stamps!

Hello friends! You are probably familiar with using the MTF sets to create fun trifold cards so when I made my Circlet cards, I created 4 different card styles to give you extra ideas. Here I used the Birthday Circlet MTF to create a flip card. Keep checking back the next few weeks to see the other 3 card styles I made!
I used the Sizzix Circle Card Flip-its #2 dies to cut my card base and layers but there are tutorials to make flip cards if you want to cut & score your own. I colored and die cut all 3 images with the matching dies included in the set. I also used some Spellbinders circle dies to cut around them. Then I layered the first two onto the front of the circle-shaped part that flips. I cut very skinny pieces of foam tape to place around the edge of the balloon image and pop it up a bit.
Normally the third image would be peeking through from behind the other two but this time I adhered it to the other side.
Here's a few close-ups.
Such a nice sentiment! (a 2 3/8" circle die is perfect to cut this out)
Now it’s your turn to break out your favorite stamps, make a card, and join us in the “Good Goes Around” Challenge! Happy stamping!
