Happy Birthday to roo! | BY Jessica Shier

Hello Ai fans!

It's Jessica and happy Friday! We made it to the weekend. Today I have a card to share using the Kangaroo Mouthful set. These are super cute stamps and dies. Each on comes with plenty of accessories to create with. They are called mouthfuls because they come with the die that die cuts a line around the mouth, or in the case of the Kangaroo set, the pouch! This is where you can tuck in a few of the fun accessories images.

Now I'm not ready for Summer to be over just yet...lol! But I was intrigued with playing with the color orange. Using a limited color palette can be fun and challenging. I'll have the marker colors I used listed down below.

I started by stamping the cluster of balloons onto a piece of Neenah 80lb Solar White card stock. I used several dies on this card; the Circle Double Stitch die, Rectangle Double Stitch die and the Banner die set. I used all the orange colors on the accessory stamps and colored the Kangaroos in gray colors. The large Kangaroo doesn't have a coordinating die in this set but it is easy to fussy cut out. I chose to tuck the present into the kangaroo's pouch.

Thank you so much for joining me today! Happy stamping.

Happy Mother's Day from the Critters! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Today I'm sharing the card that I made for my mom and my mother-in-law.
Shh...don't tell them they received the same card this year. In about 15 yrs. it's the first time ever so I don't feel too bad.

with 2 other sets.  The beaver normally holds a heart.  I cut a slit by his hands and inserted a bouquet of flowers from

I also used two verses from

Here's the inside with the other sentiment.

My husband left for Sweden on a business trip this morning and my son is working so my day will be spent with my daughter and my mom.  That sounds pretty good to me!

Kangaroo Mouthfuls by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

My niece just turned 11!!
Happy Birthday Brynn!

As soon as I saw this sweet new 4947 – Kangaroo Mouthful Set set from Art Impressions I couldn't wait to make a card for her.  There are lots of accessories with this set and many different combinations you can try.  I chose the noise maker and the gift box. Both Mama and Joey are wearing a party hat.

This mom and joey are just the cutest combo!
Baby can fit in her pouch but I chose to use the gift in her pouch and put the little one beside her.

I used two verses from the set...one on the front and one inside.

I made a second version to have on hand just in case someone's birthday pops up that I forgot about.

Here's mama kanga with the gift outside of her pouch.

ROOmor has it by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card using the 4947 – Kangaroo Mouthful Set. The new Mouthfuls quickly became one of my favorite lines as they are so cute and fun to work with!

Since I put the little roo in the die cut pouch, I thought it would be fun to also create a pocket card to place them in. I used a Sizzix library pocket die for my card and decorated it with several of the fun little accessory images in the set. The included dies make it a snap!

I also wanted the little roo to remain un-attached (but didn't want him to get lost wandering around at the trade show. ha!) so I adhered him to a string and attached the other end behind the pouch.

Here's a view of the backside and where I placed the Scor-Tape and string. Be sure to not adhere the pouch so your roo can slip inside! I forgot to take a photo of the roo attached, but I just die cut an extra piece of white cardstock with the roo die to adhere to the back of him. This covered the string and also hides the bleed-through of the markers.

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Dana is here to share her adorable creation with our Hamster Mouthful
Hello AI fans!!
These new Mouthfuls are so adorable!! My tutorial features the Hamster Mouthful set. I started by stamping the images on white cardstock and coloring them with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used AG1, AG3, AG5, CT1, CT4, GY2, GY5, IB2, IB3, TN2, Blender. As I was coloring I decided what images I would use with the Hamster, so ended up only coloring them.

Next, I held the dies in place with washi tape and ran it through my die cutting machine. With sharp scissors, I fussy cut out the hamster. The hamster has two dies, one you can cut a slit for his mouth like I did or the other cuts a slit above his hands. Tip #1 I also when ahead and cut the ones I didn't end up coloring for use at a later date!! And tip #2, I never had a hamster so was very unsure of the coloring, after looking at Google the options where overwhelming! So I just copied how the packaging colored him and kept it simple!!

With a little bit of glue, I adhered the candles to his face, sliding it under the die cut slit. This way it looks like he is eating the candles.

For a background, I die cut a stitched rectangle from watercolor card stock and with an ink applicator added Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio. Then I splattered water all over the panel and let that dry. Next, I added some water to some Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and splattered it over the panel.

While my splatters where drying I cut a strip of grey cardstock and stamped the What Cake? in brown ink. I adhered the green panel to a grey card base when it was dry and then I played around with the placement of the sentiment, hamster, cheese and his hat.

When I was happing with the placement I adhered the grey strip and added foam tape to the hamster and cheese.

A quick shot of it all put together.

These stamp sets have lots of uses with different sentiments and images that you can mix and match! And what's really nice is being able to customize where the accessory image can be tucked into to!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Stamping!!
