You Are Sew Nice! by Janet Axtman

Hello everyone! Today I have the pleasure of sharing one off my favorite Matchbook card sets. You guessed it! It's 5402 - Sewing Room. This one has all the typical cabinets and supplies you would find in a sewing room. I made this card as a thank you for someone who made a custom bag for a new outdoor rug my husband picked up for our travel trailer. Paired with a gift card from JoAnns, it was the perfect surprise for someone who shared her sewing skills with us.

One thing that is so cool about the Matchbook series is how really small the finished cards are. You can see how teeny it is after folding and putting it into the optional envelope 5318 - MB Envelope Dies. On the front of this one, I attached the mini envelope that is included with the MB Envelope Dies. I tucked in a tiny extra little thank you note. It's totally precious!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you agree that this is more than a card. It's so unique it's a gift all by itself! The recipient was entranced with it and it was as much fun to give as as it was to make.

Wishing you a very crafty weekend!

To Someone Sew Nice by Crystal

Hi fans! This week I played with the MB Sewing Room stamps set. I did something different with this set and did not use the Matchbook Template set and made a standard A2 card. I stamped everything onto smooth white card stock with Memento black ink.

After everything was colored in I die cut everything out. I used Kraft card stock as the ground of the sewing room and stripped pattern paper as the wallpaper in the room.

I matted the room layer of my card onto Kraft card stock then matted that onto pattern paper. I stamped the sentiment "To someone sew nice" directly onto the Kraft card stock.

Happy Stamping!

Sewing Themed Friendship with Drapery Technique by Janet

Hello Ai Fans! Today's card features another use for the uber cute Sewing Room Matchbook set from Ai. I thought it would be fun to use a fancy fold to build on the sewing theme so I've mixed the stamps and dies with a drapery fold and some stitched looking cardstock on this card. This is just perfect for a friend of mine who loves to sew!

I colored the sewing machine and shelf images using my Copic markers. Colors used are:
Sewing Machine: BV60, BV31, BV23
Sewing Cabinet, Shelf and Cloth: E50, E53, E57, YR02, YR04, C7
Thread Rolls: YR04, YR09, B00, B06, G21, G94, C7

A full video tutorial for this card is on my channel today:
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Creating!

To Someone Sew Nice Matchbook by Crystal

Hi Ai fans! Have you seen Art Impressions Matchbook Collection? They are just adorable. This week I played with the Sewing Room set.

I stamped all of the images with Memento black ink onto smooth card stock. I colored all of the images in with alcohol markers. Such tiny images but they have so much detail in them. I die cut all of the images out with the coordinating dies.  I love that they have a die for the envelop so you can make everything match.

 Happy Stamping!

Sewing Room MB Card by Tasha - Itty Bitty Challenge

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a matchbook card created with the fun new MB Sewing Room set!

All the images were colored with markers and I used the coordinating dies included in the set to cut them out. Thin tape made it simple to adhere the tabs to the panels and an extra layer of heart pattern paper gave a wallpaper look to the walls. I also added two cats to the card; one on the shelf and one sleeping on a rug. I think cats would love this colorful yarn-filled room!

The greeting "To Someone Sew Special" was cut with a die included in the MB Template Set. I also added a little rug and two curved windows. The MB Template Set has two types of windows so you can mix and match when making your rooms.

This set made it so easy to create this tiny interactive card. All the pieces bend to allow the card to fold flat and it's amazing that there is so much detail in this small design! I also used the MB Envelope die set to create a matching envelope. The little bow was the perfect finishing touch to complete the project.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enter the Itty Bitty Challenge. The challenge goes through March, 24th.

Have a wonderful day!

Sew Cute and Tiny by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today, I am sharing my creation for the Itty Bitty Challenge. This creation features a new set that is part of Ai's Matchbook collection, the MB Sewing Room set. These matchbook sets are just so adorable and so tiny! This card is also featured on my personal blog, check it out here

First, I die cut the matchbook frame using the Matchbook Template die set. I used the same die set to cut the sentiment strip, rug, windows, and window frames. Next, I stamped and colored the images from the MB Sewing Room set. I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Triblend Brush markers. I die cut all the images with the coordinating outline dies included in the MB Sewing Room set. The flaps on the images make it so easy to determine the placement of all of the images inside the matchbook.

For some additional fun, I used the MB Cat Accessories set to add another ball of yarn, the paw prints on the rug, and the kitty hiding in the cabinet!

I used the MB Envelope Dies set to create a coordinating envelope for the sewing matchbook out of craft-themed paper. I used the mini gift tag die, twine, and a button to decorate the envelope. I distressed the edges of the tag with Twisted Citron distress ink. I stamped the "just for you" sentiment from the Succulents Set onto the tag with pigment black ink.

Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!
