Warmest Wishes & a Merry Christmas by Janet

Hello Ai Fans. I am a big fan of the Windows to the World Series. There's so much you can do with these little window scenes. They may seem small but they pack a punch! You can use them with or without the sentiment that Bonnie writes around them. They can be used by themselves on something small like a tag. When you mat them, they become much bigger and have a larger presence. That's what I did with the stamp set I used today, 5454 - Sledding Window Set. It includes the separate snowman on a sled that adds more dimension. These little extra additions to the newer Windows to the World sets add an extra dimension to your design.

After coloring both the main image and the snowman with Copic markers, I used the 5061 - Square Double Stitched Die Set to cut out the main image, a blue frame and the largest red square. Then I layered them together and mounted it on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece from the 5812 - Christmas S2 Paper Pack. This was added to a top fold dark blue A2 card base. I used the back side of a leftover piece of the striped paper which has a check pattern and cut it to use as a border. I wrapped red, white, and green twine around it lengthwise. On top I mounted a sentiment from the 5566 - Christmas Sentiments Set.

I think this is the perfect Christmas card to send out to friends and family this holiday season. I hope you are inspired to check out the Windows to the World Series and try the winter and holiday scenes that are available at the store to make something special that includes your special touch.

 Have a wonderful weekend!

 Hello everyone!

Happy Thursday and welcome to our last challenge before we close for Thanksgiving break.

This time we are Making Spirits Bright!

We're switching things up a bit this week. Janet is our featured artist but we'll be sharing her card next week.  For now, this week, I'll be sharing my card that I  made for the challenge.

Before we get to my project let's announce the winners of our You're Such a Square challenge.

Now, without further adieu, here is my snowy, merry and bright card!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really love all of the cutesy style Christmas stamps that Art Impressions offers but sometimes I want something a little more elegant. I felt that these snowflakes were just the thing.

When I saw this set I snatched it up immediately!  It's one of my all-time favorite die sets.
5353 – Large Snowflake Dies

I used the Canson XL WC Paper Pad – 9×12 paper because I wanted something more cream colored rather than bright white.  I also wanted it to have a little texture.

For the snowflakes I die cut some and left them in.  For some I die cut it a second time and glued a second layer on top so they are a little popped up.

I used Wink of Stella and Prima Marketing 584276 Watercolor Confections: Decadent Pies to make some clear and gold sparkle splatters on it with a paint brush.

For some, I removed the inside pieces of the white paper and added gold inside. A few rhinestones and pieces of confetti completed the look.

Now for our challenge!
We want to see your holiday projects.  They don't need to be Christmas.  Maybe you celebrate Hanukah or something else.  As long as your creation will brighten someone's spirits then it applies.

Shadowbox Sledding Window Shaker by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!
Today I have two similar cards for you.
The first one is a shaker card using the 5408 – ShadowBox Window Die.

My card was created for the Buttons and Bows challenge on the blog right now.

My buttons and bow were made with dies from the 5318 – MB Envelope Dies and 5543 – Journal Template Die Set.

Inside my window is the 5454 – Sledding Window Set.

My second card used the same window and shadowbox die.  This time I used the actual shadowbox portion to give it dimension.  I also have the little snowman popped up to add more depth.

The sentiment is from 5566 – Christmas Sentiments and is stamped on paper cut from more dies from the Journal Template set.

Below you can see how 3D this shadowbox window is and the best part is, it folds flat for mailing!

I hope you'll enter something in the Buttons and Bows challenge!
You could win a free stamp set.
