It's time for a new Challenge on the Art Impressions blog! Just make a card using squares and add it to the challenge post. Be sure to enter for the chance to win free stamps. There are four new Window To The World stamps that are being released with the New Shadowbox Window Die. I used the New Mailbox Window Accessory Stamp and Die Set along with the New Shadowbox Window Die. The Shadowbox Die works with the existing Windows To The World line of stamps.
I started by stamping the images onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth card stock with Gina K Black Amalgam ink and colored them with Copic markers. The colors I used will be listed at the end of this post. I then cut out the mailbox with the matching die that came in the set. I then attached it to the front of the image with foam tape. I then cut out the square portion of the stamp. I then attached it to the base that I die cut from the Shadowbox Die.
I created a 41/4" x 41/4" card from dark brown paper and attached a smaller layer of Moda Scraps decorative paper. I traced the square from the Shadowbox Die onto the card front.
You can cut the square from the card front using your die cut machine. It's a simple shape, so I cut it out using my craft knife. I did this because my die cutting plates would leave marks on the card front.
I used the dies from the Shadowbox die set to cut a frame and window sill from Tim Holtz Woodgrain paper.
I attached the window frame to the square cut out on the card. I attached the window sill below it with foam tape.
I folded the piece that the image is attached to as shown in the picture below. I then added the right hand side to the window opening.
To finish the card, I attached the left piece of the main image to the left side of the window opening.
The image folds flat and can be popped up once the card is opened

Hello Ai fans!
Happy New Year! It's time for a new Challenge on the Art Impressions blog. It's all about Resolutions. Did you make a New Year Resolution? Be sure to enter for the chance to win free stamps. I used the Yoga Set Girlfriends stamp set to create my card.
I stamped the image onto Canson XL watercolor paper with the Versafine Clair Nocturne ink pad.
I colored the image with Daniel Smith watercolors. I always limit the amount of colors I use when coloring such a busy image.
I used the Banner Double Stitched dies to cut a small piece from yellow shimmery paper. I didn't need to cut the entire piece of yellow paper.
I added the yellow piece to a pink card base. I added the focal image on with foam tape.
To finish the card, I added a greeting from the Practically Perfect Girlfriends set.
Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

Christmas is just around the corner, and we don't know about you, but we still have some shopping to do!
These gift certificates never expire, and whether you want a little something in your own stocking, or a filler for your newest Gift Card Holder, this is a great deal!
Today I am sharing my snuggly creations for the Reasons for the Seasons Challenge! My projects feature the Chubby Snowmen stamp set where they are showcasing one of my favorite Reasons for the Season: warm family hugs! This card is also featured on my personal blog today, check it out here!
My projects were fairly easy to throw together since I used holiday themed scrapbook paper for the backgrounds. The sentiments were stamped in pigment black ink onto scraps of white cardstock. For more details on how I created the individual cards keep reading below.
For this card I wanted to create a super simple snowy scene. First, I matted snowflake themed paper from the Crystal Blues paper pad to create a snowy background. Next, I die cut a stitched hillside from plain white cardstock to create the snow covered ground. I added shadows to the snow with my Copic Sketch markers. The colors I used to color the snowman and his tree are listed below.
For my second card I used a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of plaid cardstock for the background that coordinated with the clothes on the snowman and bird. I matted the plaid cardstock with solid black cardstock and glue them to the card base. I used the Banner Double Stitched dies to cut the sentiment banner. I also cut a piece of vellum with the Square Double Stitched dies to mute the busy background behind the snowman image. The Copic colors I used to color the image are listed below.
Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!
