Hello Ai fans!
Today I'm sharing two Windows to the World cards with you. These are so much fun because you get a little glimpse of the inside through the window. Art Impressions recently added a wonderful Window Die (Sku#4619) to their inventory.
This is such a wonderful image for a guy. I love that you can change the season too by coloring the leaves and grass different colors. You could even change the time of day by adding a sunset instead of a blue sky.
I used the verse from the Snowman Note-Able (Sku#4511) set.
For my window frames and sills I cut 4 thin strips of cardstock. (just plain white) I used two different Ranger Distress Crackle Paints on them. I painted each strip with the crackle paint and gave them sufficient time to dry. I then cut the corner angles to make it look like the edges were mitered. (I hope that's the right term) The grayish one is Weathered Wood and the green one is called Shabby Shutters. I popped them up on some thin dimensional foam to make it look a little bit raised from the walls.
Aren't these little critters the sweetest?

Oh my gosh, Renee!!! These are so AWESOME!! Please spill how you made the window frames look so real!! It looks like real painted wood with the texture you achieved!!!! You are SO creative and talented!!! Love, love, love!!!!
Sharon, I had someone on Instagram ask as well so I'm going to edit my post and tell how I did it. I swore I had taken pictures as I went along...I started these weeks ago...but I guess I didn't.
Renee, stunning windows card, the 'crackle' windows are totally awesome! Love!
Renee, your windows are so authentic looking! And I love seeing the WTTW coloured differently - I did the truck as a fall scene :o)
Awesome! Thanks Renee!!!
Awesome mitered windows, Renee!
