friendship blooms by Diane Zechman

Hello Ai friends and happy Thursday!

Today I am sharing a card using two new watercolor sets... 4868 – WC Flower Set 2 and 4903 – WC Sentiments Set.

This is a 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 card which will fit into either an A2 envelope or a #6 3/4 standard business envelope.  It's fun to change up the size once in a while!  The bottom corners were rounded to sort of match my scalloped edge on the patterned paper.

The Ai watercolor sets are a lot of fun! For this card, though, I didn't use watercolor paper and brushes... I just inked the stamps with markers and stamped onto regular cardstock.

To begin, I sponged green ink onto the bottom of each card using the negative piece of scrap cardstock from a grass die as my mask. You don't see much of the edge of the grass when you are finished, but I think it looks better than just sponging a straight edge.  Then I repeatedly inked and stamped each flower to fill it in.  Don't forget to stamp some flowers "second and third generation" so you have lighter and darker images. To do this, simply stamp your flower a second and third time without re-inking the stamp.

Then finish your card as desired.
Have a great day and… happy stamping!
