Lovely Christmas Verse

Happy Sunday folks!
Today I have made a card for the Art Impressions
Card Contest.  This month's theme is Lovely Lettering.
I have loved this contest for years!!
You can win $30, $20 or $10 to spend at AI in the contest.
Who doesn't love free stamps?!
I don't think there's anything more lovely than
This Christmas.  It's such a beautiful
verse from Art Impressions.

I framed the beautiful phrase with
two different Spellbinders dies.  The poinsettia and border
are from Spellbinders as well.

On the inside I used a new border from Marianne's Creatables
and an older snowflake border from Fiskars.  The stamp inside
is called Block Letter Merry.  It killed me when I saw that
I stamped it ever so crooked.  Those things eat away at me but
not enough to trash a whole card.

Here's another card that I made with the same
verse on the front.

The cross is from Spellbinders, the embossing folder is Sizzix
and the snowflakes are from Memory Box.

Here's the inside where I've used the verse

Faux Craxed Porcelain

This card was supposed to be included in the
Thursday challenge but I was late turning it in.
My 13 year old son lost a friend unexpectedly
on Wednesday so my plans to edit and upload this
card went out the window.  I thought I'd still share...
better late than never I hope??

This week at Art Impressions challenges we're trying out
new techniques.  We'd like you to try something you've
NEVER tried before!  After all, it is supposed to be a challenge
right??

My new technique is called Faux Crazed Porcelain.
I love the antique look it gave my card.  I found the
tutorial HERE on Splitcoast.

On my card I used a beautiful verse from

Here's a close up of the verse with
the beautiful, glossy crazing.
