Window Deco Die with WC Series 8 Set 1

Hello AI Fans!!
Today I've got a card to show you and I used the beautiful new Window Deco Die Set along with the WC Series 8 Set 1 and the Window Die Set (#4619)!  I love all the different things you can do with a window die!! With the Window Deco Die, you get a total of four dies PLUS two stamps (curtain and valance)!!  For this card, I only used the curtain and the curtain rod dies along with the curtain stamp. You can see the curtain die actually cuts slits for you to thread the rod through! Genius!!!

thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and hope to see you back again soon!

Wonderful Watercolor

Hi it's Maria
Just like last week, I am still playing with Art Impressions watercolor stamps. SO fun! This week I have two projects for you that I made with Watercolor Series 8 and some of the basic watercolor stamps.
Project One
Sometimes when I am just playing around I like to make some "nontraditional" type cards. This one can double as home decor after the recipient opens it. I did my design using the Watercolor Series 8 with Marvy Markers on watercolor paper and then framed it with a diecut frame. To add a little interest to the frame I used a stencil and painted it.
I also used some Stickles and flowers to embellish it. I took the negative that was cut away in the frame and made a little easel to attach so that it can be displayed just by folding into a triangle shape as seen here. That way it can be flattened to put in an envelope.

Project Two
I thought I'd show you an extra project I made from one of the scenes I made. This one is a postcard type card. It is flat and the sentiment or note can be written on the back.
Have a GREAT weekend!

The Girlfriends Meet Watercolor!

Hi it's Maria and today I thought I show you with two of my favorite Art Impressions lines--Girlfriends and Watercolor. I started just playing one day and I thought I'd show you my process of how it came to be.

I started with a 6" x 6" piece of watercolor paper for my background. I knew I wanted the Girlfriends Picture Perfect stamp to be my focus but wanted to make the background first so I made a mask of the stamp on a piece of scrap paper to cover my stamping on the background.
Next using Marvy Markers and a palette I did a super quick background of mountains, water and sand. As you can see I went right over my mask.
Next I added a sign and fence from Watercolor Series #8 to the background again going right over my mask.
Next I added a vine, grass and stone path using the teeny tiny flowers.
Time to take the mask off! I colored the girls with Prisma Watercolor Pencils to keep the feel of the soft watercolor look.
I think this is a fun way to incorporate all different types of Art Impressions Stamps!

Also wanted to let you know that Bonnie from Art Impressions is coming to the Chicagoland area in July to do a class at Creative Cuts and Crafts
There are a few seats left if you are interested.
Give them a call to schedule!
I'll be there :)
