Welcome to another Watercolor Wednesday and the preview video of our second 2018 Watercolor release, available on our website tomorrow, March 8!
This week, Bonnie creates a dreamy garden door with white draperies inside, set in the perfect outdoor scene with a brick wall and paved stone walkway. Bonnie starts by inking her the doorway from our WC Door Set in both African Violet and Sepia. She adds tiny petal flowers and a branched vine around the top and the left side. Then, she adds a mix of Prussian Blue and African Violet markers to her WC Palette to brush in the dark areas around the draperies and shadows. The next step is to add a light wash of blue around the sides of the door and once dry, lightly stamp the edges of our WC Wall Texture Set image over the blue. To ground the image, Bonnie uses our tall grasses and stemmed blossoms near the doorstep. To finish the image, Bonnie creates a pathway with our new WC Cobblestone Set with small tufts of grass around the pavers.
